One time when I was low or discouraged and didn't have any hope; feeling like a child, I was searching and not knowing it, and lost and not knowing it. It was like my heavenly Father spoke to me. And what a comfort it was. The poem here is the result. The painting is titled `Shell Finder #2` by Puget Sound artist K. Joann Russell. For purchase information contact her here. The midi is the exquisite Celtic melody `Einsamerhirte` with flutes and horns. |
I had been so unhappy and full of doubt
My life seemed to be going down hill faster and faster;
I was worrying and angry with myself and those around me
Also at the CREATOR of my life.
Then I became so tired of being unhappy
And not being able to be at peace;
So then I cried out to my maker
And He answered me in a gentle voice:
Oh my daughter, I love you
And I long so much to be your source of strength and hope
Just let me hold you in my arms and love you
Let me do for you what only I can do.
I have so much in store for you
If you will only allow me to give it to you when I see fit
Then and only then will you find joy and peace.
Thank you Father,
I will let you be my source of strength and hope
I will let you hold me in your arms
And mold me into your likeness.
