This feeling inside
Is almost more than I can take
He walks to the counter and sits, waiting for her to turn around. The instant she does, their eyes
meet. The smile that lights up his face doesn’t compare to the fireworks erupting in his heart. If
only she knew the warmth that one look brought to his sleeping soul…but he can’t tell her. He
has to shut off everything. He didn’t come to Port Charles to fall in love. He has an agenda, a
duty. Love only complicates things.

And it just blows me away
She handed him his coffee, and his fingers grazed the back of her hand. A bolt of electricity shot
through her entire body. She tried to hold on to the mug, and his warm touch, but he pulled back.
A chill ran down her spine. It was cold without his love. She says love, but is that what it really is?
Of course it is. She could feel it, see it, return it, but why won’t he let her have it?

His heart sunk when her smile faded. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he was scared. He’s
never felt this way before. He kept his girlfriends an arm length away so he wouldn’t get hurt, but
not her. He couldn’t keep her away when all he wanted to do was pull her close. She got in to his
heart and wouldn’t leave.
The smell of your skin
The taste of your kiss
The way you whisper in the dark
The sweet fragrance of his after-shave always took her back to their kiss. His delicate hands
enveloping her face and gently placing his lips onto hers. She wanted more than anything to feel
his hands combing her hair and taste his kiss on her lips. She wanted to show him how much she
loved him, but she didn’t. She couldn’t be rejected again.

He remembered the way her hair felt grazing his cheek while they danced. He knew he let the
situation get out of control, but he couldn’t say no. He let his heart lead him that night, and it
couldn’t happen again. It’s just, she opened up a part of him that he thought was dead. How can
he live his life without her?

She’s kissed guys before, but with him it was different, it was new. It wasn’t like the butterflies
she got when she was a child, though. She’s a woman now. She was feeling what it is like to
really feel, to really care, to really be in love. She just wanted to spend the rest of her life lost in
his soul.

She got into his skin, into his soul, and she won’t leave. She makes him feel like he can be

and more like himself. She brings out the part of him that he buried from the rest of the world. He
wants her to be with him, always. She’s just so wonderful, and amazing. He has to tell her what
he’s feeling. “I love you.”

She froze. She didn’t expect him to tell her how he felt. He seemed to pull back whenever they
got too close. Is he going to take back his declaration as soon as she says hers? She can’t get hurt
again. But every time they are together, he let’s her know he doesn’t want to be one of those
guys. She wants him to be the one who stays, and she thinks he wants that, too. He is so great and
so amazing. “I love you, too."
