Well, you might wonder, why this webring for the manga by Hoshisato Mochiru?
The reason is fairly simple: the works of Hoshisato Mochiru are very amusing, romantic and well drawn, and, regrettably, pretty unknown at the same time outside of Japan. I believe these manga deserve a larger audience.
Besides manga by Hoshisato Mochiru,
I very much enjoy Maison Ikkoku, Kimagure Orange Road, Marmalade Boy and City Hunter.  Recently I read 'Komorebi no motode...' by Hojo Tsukasa, the same author as of City Hunter. This is another jewel yet to be discovered by the public outside of Japan.
At the moment my favourite anime TV series is Shin Seiki Evangelion and my favourite anime movie is Mononoke Hime, which I saw last time I was in Japan.
Besides the above manga, I wouldn't pass over the chance to recommend you the novels of Joseph Heller and Jack Vance.
