2000 Royal Military College
 Invitational Tournament

On November 4th and 5th the RPI Fencing Club competed in the RMC / CMR Invitational Tournament at the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.  The usual venue was being renovated so we had to use a different gym.  Due to limited space we were limited in the number of teams we could enter and everyone had to use the balcony for storing their stuff.  Going up and odwn the stairs every time something was needed was almost as actually fencing.  This is an annual trip for our club and this year we were the only US team to attend.  Though none of our teams medalled we gave a good account of ourselves and upheld American honor.  We fielded eight teams: two men's épée, two men's saber, and one each for men's foil, women's épée, women's foil and women's saber.

Rather than put all the pictures on one page, I split them up by weapon.

Foil Epée Saber

This was supposed to be an overview shot of the women's saber team's direct elimination (DE) bout.  However, I flinched (it was a long day and I was very tired) so this is what I got.  I thought it looked kind of cool so I decided to put it here.
