NOTE: Frank is the father of Lisa Selk's daughter, Amanda. Lisa met Frank in the fall of 1986 while living in Reno NV. Paternity has never been established; but, Frank is aware that he is Amanda's father. Lisa tried to locate Frank using information received by Cory Burnett in January 1997; but, did not have any luck reaching him at the phone number for him (phone number and address received from Cory both Sparks/Reno info..). Lisa called a phone number that was on an old phone bill (May 1987!) that Frank had called while visiting Lisa at that time. The phone number was a number in Mexico City, Mexico. Cory had previously informed Lisa that the number belonged to Frank's parents. When Lisa called that number, she did in fact reach Frank's parents and spoke mostly with Frank's father, Gilberto, who happens to speak English very well. The call only lasted 14 minutes; therefore not very much information was received; but, in short, Lisa gathered the following information:
1) Gilberto has not had any contact with Frank in about a year.
2) The last place that Frank told them that he lived at was in a town in Southern California near Tijuana, Mexico. Lisa asked if the town was San Diego, CA; Gilberto said that he believed that San Diego was the town where Frank lived the last time they had any contact with them.
3) Frank had apparantly never told any of his family about being Amanda's dad - or - even that Amanda even exsisted...
4) Gilberto took Lisa's address and stated that he would try to contact Frank for her.
5) Gilberto said he is anxious to find out more and is anxious to see pictures of both Amanda and Lisa (Lisa mailed letter and many photos on July 28, 1997..).
6) Gilberto said that the last he was aware; he was under the understanding that Frank had been married (to someone else, of course) and was not sure; but, believed that Frank was/is still married.
7) Frank's family does not refer to him as Frank at all; his dad calls him Fernando...
In the excitement of the moment; Lisa neglected to gather any more information; and did not even ask what Frank's mother's name is or any other basic information. Lisa will write another letter to give them more information about Amanda and herself; and to ask more about Frank and his family...

NOTES: Amanda lives with her mother, Lisa Selk in Texas where she was born and has always lived. Amanda is the only child of Lisa. Amanda's father is Fernando "Frank" Lopez. Noone is sure; but, Frank's father, Gilberto Lopez-Castanon stated that he believes that Frank may be living in San Diego, CA and that he is probably married. Amanda has never met her father because Lisa met him in Reno, NV and moved to TX before Amanda was born. Amanda has always excelled in school; and in the whole time that she has attended any type of formal education (beginning with Head Start when she was three..); the lowest grade she has ever received on a report card was "89" (and only once)! Amanda enjoys many different things like dancing, singing, playing with animals, riding bikes and rollerblades, swimming, drawing pictures, writing stories, reading books (especially the ones that she can choose the outcome..), and many other things!
Amanda has taken swimming lessons, gymnastics, and played softball. During the school year Amanda stays home during the week with her mom, Lisa; and often visits her grandma & grandpa on the weekends (Betty and Joe Crow). In the summer months, Amanda spends the weekdays at her grandparents house and every weekend with her mom. These arrangements work out for the best for everyone because Lisa doesn't have to pay for child care; and, Amanda gets to spend a lot of quality time with her grandparents.

NOTES Lisa was born in Rifle, CO, but was living in Parachute at birth. Soon after she was born, her family moved to Oregon, where they lived until 1981, when they moved back to Parachute. Lisa lived here until 1984, when she married Fernando. They then moved to Cuernavaca, where he grew up. Lisa lived there for six months before they were separated and she moved back to the states. She moved to Reno, Nevada in 1986, where she met Frank. She then moved to Ft Worth, TX in May of 1987. Lisa gave birth to her first (and so far, only) child, Amanda Nichole Selk, on October 31, 1997. NOTES Betty was raised in DeBeque, Colorado. As a teenager she had a baby boy who she named: Martin Eugene Ingram, who she was forced to give up for adoption as she was an unwed teenaged mother (adoption was a common practice in those times for those situations; but, Betty was never happy about it). She was married to Delroy in 1961, and moved to Clifton, Colorado, where they were for the birth of their first child, Rocky. By 1968 they were living in Parachute, Colorado, in time for the birth of their second child, Lisa. Soon after Lisa's birth, they moved to Clackamas county, Oregon, living in Tigard, then Milwaukie, where they stayed, through the births of their last two children, Paul & Shawn, until 1981 when they moved to Parachute, Colorado. They remained in Parachute until 1985, when they were Divorced. Betty then moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where she was married to Joe Crow, in 1986. On October 31, 1987 Betty became a Grandma -- as her first natural grandchild, Amanda Nichole Selk, was born! Around 1993, Betty's first born son, who she was forced to give up for adoption so many yrs ago, called her from his home in Oregon. His adopted name is: Dorian Kappler. He is married and has no children. Soon there after, Betty met Dorian (Baby Martin) in person.

NOTES Hartwell lived his entire life in Keeling. He and Lillian were separated in either 1944 or 1945. Hartwell is the only person buried in the "Ingraham Cemetery", located at his old house on east side of Rte 701, 1.4 miles north of Rte 360, in three pine trees. The house was still standing in 1988.

Since I did not personally research most this info; but, rather simply copied it from various immediately family sources, I will take this as a valid correction. Thank you very much, Cousin Debra J.! lisa, on unformatted family facts you have hartwells grave as being on st. rd. 710 it is st. rd. 701. there is also another graveyard on the family farm. Many graves. Hartwell was just buried in his field under the pines. The other graveyard is about 1000 yds from his grave

NOTES ON RELATIONSHIP OF LISA AND FRANK:
Lisa and Frank were basically just real good friends. Lisa met Frank in the fall of 1986 and by spring 1987 Lisa found out she was pregnant. Lisa told Frank that she was pregnant and that he was the father. At first, Frank was surprised; but, excited.... but, in typical young-male fashion, began to doubt the fact from time to time. Over the two to two and half months that Lisa stayed in Reno after learning that she was pregnant, Frank went back and forth from: "Wow, this is so neat!" ....
to... "Are you sure?". On Frank's behalf, it must be stated that he did offer to "do the right thing" and marry Lisa; but, first of all, Lisa was still legally married to Fernando Moreno-Silva and unalble to obtain a divorce -- but, even more important to Lisa was the fact that Frank had not shown an interest in marrying her before they found out she was pregnant; and Lisa was already scared about being a mother and did not
think she could handle a permanent relationship at the same time learning to be a "mommy". Lisa had several bad feelings towards marriage (mostly in part to how her husband, Fermando Moreno-Silva, treated her..) and was not ready for any more stresses at that time in her life. Lisa left Reno Nv around May 26, 1987 to live in Fort Worth TX to be around her mother, Betty, because her mother offered to help her with the pregnancy and with the baby. Frank has never made any effort to contact
Lisa or their baby Amanda. Through Lisa's cousin, Cory Burnett, Lisa and Amanda were able to talk to Frank over the phone for a couple of minutes one time when Amanda was about 3 or 4 yrs old. Lisa has repetedly tried to contact Frank throughout the years with no luck. On July 27, 1997, Lisa called Frank's parents in Mexico City to try to locate Frank. ***See notes under Fernando "Frank" Lopez.
