I moved to Las Vegas on January 5, 2000. When I came to the casinos or bookstore, I did not see any magazine articles or news on David Cassidy and his now retired show, David Cassidy at the Copa. I only saw free local magazines given out at the hotel. These magazines only contained ads and bit informations about his show at that time. I found several good articles with never seen before pictures of David Cassidy in Las Vegas newspapers in January 18, 2000 (Las Vegas Review Journal and Las Vegas Sun). As of May 22, 2000, I still did not see much published material about David Cassidy and his show. I only saw several articles ads at almost every Las Vegas tourist magazines. Some magazines had updated ads of his show and there had been rumors that David and Sheena had tensions at work that Sheena did not want to renew her contract to do the show another year. David had an option to renew his contract and find a new co-star to replace Sheena, but choose to spend more time with his family, get involvd with charitable causes with his wife, Sue, and to perform some concerts during the year. He will be less busy than he had been for the last six year. David has been getting his respect due from the Las Vegas community. In 1997, 1998 and 1999, he was in the best of Las Vegas list as the Best All Around Performer (1997), the Best Singer (1998) ane).d the Best Family Attraction (1998-I'm not sure why. I will explain it later). The show he saved from destruction, EFX, also received the Best of Las Vegas honor. Since David stopped performing EFX shows, Tommy Tune did his version in 2000 and now rock star Rick Springfied is doing his version. On January 21, 2001, David Cassidy performed his last show. He planned to cut back on his work to spend more time with his family. He will do some concerts this year instead. Please consult with his website, www. davidcassidy.com for the tour dates and ticket purchases. I am looking forward to going to his concert in Laughlin, NV on May 23rd or 24th, 2001. He will perform his concert in Las Vegas area during the Thanksgiving weekend 2001, but I will be out-of-town. His last concert will be at the Stateline (California-Nevada) at Primm on early December. There are changes in his concert dates, Please consult with his website for furthur information, and to sign-up for his mailing list to receive updates on his future plans.
