We are seven artists originating from four different countries.
Yoko hails from Japan, Angie from UK, Amelia from USA and the rest of us from Singapore. We first met while studying Western Art at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. Mr Tong Chin Sye, a veteran Singaporean artist and part-time lecturer at NAFA, was our teacher then.
A love for Art, particularly painting outdoors, brought us together as a group. Even after leaving NAFA, we continued to paint outdoors regularly, including field trips abroad.
Our different personalities and nationalities contributed much to our artistic development and provided a rich context for mutual stimulation and exhange of ideas.
