| Roswell, Pod chambers 23.00 P.M. “God Michael, you’re such a pain in the ass” Isabel said and glared at her alien friend. “Do you even know what the word kindness is?” “Oh yeah, the Ice Queen’s really one to talk about kindness” he sneered. “WHAT?” Tess rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache coming. “Guys…please” Kyle rolled his eyes and leaned back against the cave wall. “What did they start fighting over this time? I can’t even remember” “Something about Michael insulting one of Isabel’s friends at school” Liz said with a shrug and looked at Max who was trying to decide which side he was supposed to stand on, his sister’s or his best friend’s. “Max, do something” Isabel yelled. Michael turned his glare to the dark haired alien as well “Yeah, *Maxwell* do something” “Uh…peace, love and understanding?” Max asked carefully with a nervous laugh Michael and Isabel gave him a deadly glare before continuing yelling at each other. Alex shook his head and stepped out of the cave to look at the star filled sky. There was a big full moon shining down over him and he sat down on a cliff edge. Suddenly there was a blue sparkle further down that quickly grew more intense. “Uh, guys…GUYS” Alex yelled. The sparkle grew into an electrical explosion and a big creature appeared. “What the fuck?” Michael mumbled wide eyed as the creature’s glowing red eyes opened and focused on the group. Liz quickly stepped closer to Max. “What IS that?” The creature let out an unnatural growl and his long claws flashed through the night. “Something bad, really bad” Kyle answered and began thinking about the safest escape rout. The creature slowly began advancing towards them and as he stepped out of the darkness and into the moonlight they could see he was almost like a shadow and with a long tail trailing the ground behind them. Max put up a force field in front of the beast but it only stopped for a couple of seconds looking at the shield before walking through it and continuing up the mountain towards them. The aliens shot energy blasts but they only bounced straight of him. “Shit, it doesn’t seem to harm him” Isabel yelled. “What do we do?” “How about running?” Alex asked. “Good idea” Michael said and everyone rushed down the mountain the other way but the creature took one giant leap and suddenly was in front of them. “Okay, perhaps it was a bad idea” The creature growled but then he stopped advancing the roswellians and turned to look into the darkness. Then a new electrical explosion took place and when the blue sparks died a young woman was sitting on her knees holding a long silvery sword. Her long golden hair floated through the air and her jade green eyes stared straight at the creature. “You didn’t think you could escape, did you?” she asked and jumped to her feet. “Another one?” Alex asked. “I like her a lot better than that thing” Kyle said and watched as the girl launched herself towards the creature with her sword held firmly in her hands. The creature swung his tail but she jumped over it and landed on his back where she stabbed him. The beast let out a scream and managed to shrug the girl of sending her flying into a big rock. Then the creature attacked the roswellians again and the four aliens once again tried blasting it with their energy but to no avail. “I’m not finished with you yet” the girl yelled and jumped straight in front of Max facing the creature. It attacked her but after a couple of more minutes fighting she chopped his head off. There was a red light and the creature disappeared and the girl placed her sword in the sheath along her right side. She looked up at the sky and then spun around in confusion. “This is not Amarylon, where the hell am I?” “Uh, you’re on earth” Alex said carefully. “I take it you don’t wanna be here” She cursed and angrily pulled her fingers through her hair. “Earth? Shit, how did this happen? I have to get back home” “Get in line” Michael muttered but immediately shut up when the girl shot him a dangerous glare. Max studied the girl in front of them. She was wearing brown boots, black tight pants, a black top, a brown belt that hung loosely around her hips and a dark green cloak. “Where are you from?” he asked. “I already told you, Amarylon. So this is earth, it’s totally overrated” she said and looked around. “So what are you people? Some sort of earthly magicians?” “What are you?” Michael shot back. “I am Mariana, one of the legendary Angelicus demon hunters” she answered, pounding her hand to her chest in some sort of salute and gave Michael a daring look. “And what are you?” Max, Michael, Isabel and Tess looked at each other and then at Mariana and then back at each other. “We are aliens” Max answered quickly. The young woman raised her eyebrow shortly in surprise. “Hmm, if you say so I guess I’ll have to take your word for it. What about the other four, are they aliens as well?” “Us? No, no, no, no, we’re just plain humans” Liz answered. “There’s nothing plain about being human” Mariana stated and continued looking around before kicking away a rock. “Dammit, how am I gonna get home now?” Tess shook her head. “Looks like you’re gonna be stuck here for a while” “Great, just great” Mariana muttered and threw her hands up into the air. “No offence but I’d rather go home than stay on earth and besides, I still have a war to fight” “War?” Kyle asked. She nodded her head and sat down on a big rock. “As I said earlier, I’m a demon hunter and we fight the demons, something that’s been going on for thousands of years” “Mariana…uh, can we call you Maria instead? It’s shorter” Alex asked and saw Mariana shrug and give him a small nod. “That thing that attacked us earlier was a demon, right?” “Yes and if we don’t fight the demons, they could begin the end of the world” “The end of your world?” Isabel asked. “No, the end of everything, all universe” she answered. “Since you know my name, why don’t you tell me yours?” “I’m Tess and that’s Max, Michael, Isabel, Liz, Alex and Kyle” Tess smiled. “Look, why don’t you come with us back to my apartment and you can sleep there tonight?” Isabel nodded. “And something tells me you might wanna shower to get rid of the demon blood” *********** “This is a funny house” Maria said and scanned Tess’s apartment. “Lot’s of earth stuff” Michael crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back against the wall. “Let me guess, you don’t have stuff like this on your home planet?” he asked and nodded towards the TV. Maria arched an eyebrow. “No, we’ve got better things to do than sit on our asses and let our intelligence slip away. I’ve read about Earth’s obsession with different things and I think it’s just stupid” “Do you want me to wash your top?” Tess asked noticing all the dried demon blood. “Sure, thanks” Maria smiled and let her cloak fall to the floor and then pulled her top over her head revealing what appeared to be a black sports bra but with just a small strand on her back. Max and Alex blushed while Michael and Kyle eyed her from top to toe. Tess saw the outlines of two wings tattooed from one shoulder blade to the other and on her right arm was a silvery sign. “Like the tattoos” she smiled. “I have a feeling that they’re just not tattoos either, what do they stand for?” Maria remover her belt and tossed it into a chair together with the sword. “The wings are to show that I’m an angelicus warrior and this on my arm is a sign that tells my immortality” Everyone in the room looked at her with wide eyes. “What?” “I’m immortal” she said again and gave them a strange look. “What’s with the shocked looks?” “You can’t be immortal, science doesn’t support total immortality” Liz said. “It goes against the laws of nature” “I forgot I was on earth” Maria said and rolled her eyes. “My kind has always lived deep in the forests and had a connection to the nature. We feel the nature surrounding us and can in some ways control the four elements so we don’t go against the laws of nature, we just…use what the nature gives” “And I thought nothing would shock me any longer after all the alien business” Kyle said and slumped down in the couch. Isabel remembered the battle and how their powers hadn’t affected the demon. “Earlier when we encountered that demon our alien powers didn’t work on him, why?” “Demons are immortals as well and most of the time magic and stuff like that don’t affect us” Maria answered and began unbuttoning her pants “Uh, Maria…maybe you shouldn’t do that out here” Tess said. “What?” “Get completely undressed” “I don’t mind” Michael smirked. “Mine either” Kyle added and received a deadly glare from Tess. “Uh, I’ll shut up now” Maria rolled her eyes. “I bet” she mumbled and then walked with Tess towards the bathroom.
