The gang didn't come out of their room until the next day, they went down for breakfast. Michael had been impatient to go and hunt down Caldwell's girlfriend, Jim and the others persuaded him to stay put. It took a lot of brute force and some swift talking for Michael to leave it.

When they walked in the dining area there seemed to be a buzz about the room, then again they were in Vegas. They sat at one of the tables, the waiter came and took their order. Liz excused herself to go to the bathroom, she was back almost immediately. She sat next to Max and whispered in his ear.

"Shit."

Everyone looked at Max when he cursed. Jim leaned forward across the table.

"Max? What's wrong, Liz has something happened?"

Liz looked at Max who nodded his head.

"Everyone's talking about you know who, Maria's dad."

Just then the waiter came back with their order. After placing their meal in front of them he turned to leave, Jim grabbed the waiters arm to prevent him from leaving.

"Is it true someone was found dead last night?"

The waiter looked around him before speaking.

"Yeah, a guy OD'd last night."

"A resident from the hotel?"

"Nah, he just likes, sorry liked the tables here."

"He was a regular then?"

"You could say that, yeah Frank was definitely a regular."

"I suppose something like this won't do the casino's reputation any good?"

"You can say that again. The boss isn't here, but he's gonna be pretty pissed when he finds out, he's got this thing about drugs....and Frank Deluca."

They gang looked at each other the waiter had confirmed that the guy really was Frank Deluca. Jim however didn't show any reaction to the news.

"So the boss is on holiday?"

"Not for much longer, look I have to go back to work. One of the henchmen is watching."

Jim pulled out a twenty and handed it to the waiter, who slipped it into his pocket. Jim watched him go, he saw him stop next to a huge man. Jim could tell he was carrying a gun under his jacket. They looked over at Jim's table. Jim looked away concentrating on his food.

"Well now we know it was definitely Maria's dad."

"Michael not now, we're going to have company in a few seconds."

"Huh?"

"Ladies, gentlemen, is everything satisfactory?"

Jim looked up and saw it was the henchman.

"Yes, everything's fine."

"The waiter satisfactory?"

"More than satisfactory, I just wish everywhere I went the staff were just as obliging."

"Good we pride ourselves on our staff. Sorry I should introduce myself."

He put his hand out to Jim.

"I'm Craig."

Jim shook his hand.

"Craig....?"

"Just Craig, if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask me.

"I will, thank you. By the way my name is Jim Valenti."

Craig looked around the table as one by one they introduced themselves, he memorised each face and name. He stared more at Michael, his brow frowning. He nodded once more before turning away from the table. Jim exhaled his breath.

"I don't think we'll be asking him any questions. Alex have you got the address of the girlfriend in that file of yours??"

Alex pulled out a slip of paper and handed it to Jim.

Craig went from their table to the reception desk. He asked Judy the receptionist to come over.

"Judy, there's a party of people in there, Jim Valenti. I want to know the room number."

Judy tapped the keyboard, she shook her head.

"Sorry no Jim Valenti."

"They must be booked in, they're sitting in the restaurant for hotel guests only."

"Show me where they are, I might remember them."

Judy followed Craig, he pointed the table out to her.

"Oh....yeah, I remember them, that's the Whitman and Guerin party."

"How come you remember their names?"

"The Whitman guy's a hottie."

Craig looked at her like she'd grown an extra head.

"What?? I have a thing about tall, dark, handsome men, he fits the bill nicely. They're in suite 205."

"Can you check on the computer for any other details?"

"Sure."

Judy went back to the desk and punched in the names, a list of details appeared on the screen.

"Let's see, they made reservations two days ago and booked in last night."

"How did they pay?"

"Cash."

"Any home details?"

"Umm, yeah. Well would you believe it?"

"What?"

"They come from 'alien' country."

"Alien country?"

"Yeah, you know, Roswell. The alien capital of the world."

Craig ignored the rest of her words, the word 'Roswell' echoed in his mind.....he smiled to himself. He wondered....he knocked on the desk as he moved away.

"Thanks Judy, I owe you one."
