2. One of the main ideas I want to remember is the significance of the infancy narrative. Basically, we learn from the infancy narrative that God loved us so much he became like us. He became like us so he could lead us back to him. Through this mystery of incarnation humanity and divinity are joined together. I think this is important because it can show that God can exist in all of us and we can emulate God by the way we live our lives.
Another idea that I thought was really important was the temptation narrative. Basically the point of this narrative is that one must trust in God and not turn from him if you wish to reject evil. I think this is important because God helps us know what is right and what is wrong so we can make the right choices.

4. One question I have about the Beatitudes is that it seems to suggest that people should accept being victimized. Does being a peacemaker mean that you can never stick up for yourself?
5. While it may not be possible for you to commit yourself to the vow of nonviolence, choose at least one part that you can try to live within the next week. Tell a class which part you choose; let them tell you what part they chose. Check with each other in a week to see if you were able to remain faithful to the parts you chose.
