Christmas night in Port Charles with snow gently falling from the sky. At GH the Christmas party was ending and people were starting to say goodbye. At the PCPD Zander had been set free as they opened the doors. Zander shouted in delight as he raced down the stairs with Emily following and he threw snow at her. Sonny and Alexis watched them, laughing at the couple.
"We did it." Sonny told her.
"We did it." Alexis told him shaking his hand.
"What are you doing for Christmas?" he asked.
"I don't know." she said sadly.
"Come on over tonight and spend it with Carly, Michael, and me." he suggested.
"I don't want to intrude." she told him.
"You won't be." he said.
Emily and Zander were laughing as they threw snow at each other. Zander threw a snowball at Emily, but she ducked and it hit Sonny. He laughed and threw a snowball at Alexis.
"You're gonna pay for that." she told him half seriously.
She picked up a snowball and threw it at him, but got Emily instead as they started their snowball war. Then two cops rounded the corner and Zander's expression changed as he threw Emily to the ground. He covered her body with his as the cops started to open fire with machine guns which are alson known as "Tommy" guns. Alexis and Sonny had seen Zander's expression as they turned to see the two cops lift their guns. They opened fire while Sonny tried to save Alexis as they hit the ground. Then the two cops went over to see if they were dead as a car pulled around and honked.
"Come on, we gotta go tell the boss." said the one cop.
They got in the car as it sped off.
"Emily, are you all right?" asked Zander.
"I'm fine. Thank you for saving my life." she told him.
They got up just as Alexis rolled over coughing.
"Oh God, Alexis!!" Emily shouted.
"HELP!!!" Zander screamed as he ran to check on Sonny.
"Hang on, Alexis." Emily whispered.
"I'm fine." she told the girl coughing.
Alexis had been shot in the chest just barely grazing her heart and in her right lung. Sonny was in equal condition. He had been shot in the ribs, his left lung, and his left shoulder.
"HELP!!!" the kids screamed.
The real cops came and radioed for help. Garcia went over to Zander who was using his coat to put pressure on Sonny's wounds.
"What happened?" Garcia questioned.
"Some cops came around the corner and opened fire." Zander replied.
"Zander, get Emily." requested Sonny.
"Emily!" Zander shouted.
Emily ran over and knelt by Sonny.
"What's wrong, Sonny?" she asked him.
"Tell Carly I love her." he told her as he went unconscious.
"Keep putting pressure on his wounds, Zander. Where's the ambulance?!" she shouted frightened and angry.
"It'll be here soon." Garcia replied.
