I sighed as I stared in the mirror. I was determined to have a good time. I wasn't used to going out alone, but I really didn't have a choice did I? O.K. here we go. I ran my hands down my dress again and headed for the door.
I walked into the club and suddenly felt like a slab of meat in front of hungry wolves. I didn't remember it being this way. I sighed and made my way to the bar, luckily I found a seat and sat down.
"What can I get for you?" A tall and very unattractive bartender asked as he stood on the other side of the bar.
"Scotch on the rocks."
"Let me buy you a drink." A voice rumbled beside me, I turned and was met with stale smoke, whiskey and way too much facial hair.
"How about you don't." I turned back to the bar and smiled as the bartender brought me my drink. I was greatly relieved when I realized stinky ass had left. I wanted to get on the dance floor, but I was too nervous. It had been years, two to be exact, since I had been in this situation. So I planned on getting a little loosened up then I would hit the floor and have fun, if I kept on telling myself that I might actually start to believe it.
It had been about an hour, 2 scotches and too many hairy and smelly men when I decided to tackle the dance floor. The scotches had loosened me up, and I hoped I wouldn't flatten my face on the dance floor. I walked into the crowd working my way toward the middle and just let the music take over. My eyes drifted closed as my body began to move with the music. I didn't know how long I had been out there when I felt someone's hands on my hips. My eyes snapped open and the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen greeted me. He wasn't hairy nor did he stink. Actually he smelt damn good. I couldn't take my eyes off his. He pulled me closer, so close I was nearly touching him and suddenly I realized I wanted him to touch me. As if reading my mind he smiled at me his eyes twinkling, he pulled me to him and slipped his leg between mine and rubbed against me. The action took my breath away and I tried not to show it. But he knew. He smiled down at me again, this time he lowered his head and whispered in my ear.
"Hello," his voice poured over me like warm honey. I felt it touch something deep inside me.
I looked up into his eyes and replied, "Hi." My voice came out deeper than I had expected making my southern accent stronger. His smile widened and he looked up and over my shoulder, just as I turned to see what had caught his attention I felt a second pair of hands gently slip up my back and to my hips above his hands. I glanced over my shoulder and was mesmerized by the pair of deep brown eyes that greeted me. I felt the new hands pull me away and turn me around. Once I was facing him he pulled me flush against his body and I felt his warmth pressing against my stomach through my dress . He lowered his head and kissed me directly beneath my ear. I felt the shiver shoot down my back and my back arched. He growled low in his throat.
I felt his breath upon my ear before he spoke, "Hello, love. I'm AJ he's Nick." He paused for a second to kiss my neck again this time I whimpered. I felt him smile, "What's your name?" Before I could reply, I felt Nick slide up behind me. He gently grabbed my hips and pressed against me, this time I felt his warmth too. I couldn't answer. I couldn't even breathe. I felt Nick's breath on the back of my neck before I felt his lips.
"Liz." I whispered barely audible to them. But they heard me. I don't know how long we danced, but by the time Aj took my hand and started to pull me from the floor I was hot and wet. And it wasn’t from the heat of the club. I felt Nick's hand on my back as we walked off the floor. Aj was heading toward the door when I dug my heels in.
"Wait where are you going." I asked, I knew I wasn't drunk so I knew I couldn't blame the alcohol. I never just left with someone. He turned and looked back at me. His expression was complete and utter shock as if he hadn't excepted me to reject him. "Aj, I don't usually just leave with strange men." He looked at Nick and the look in his eyes was true and pure shock. I suddenly felt as if I had missed something. I looked at Nick and I saw him slowly start to smile. He turned and looked at me and I looked back at Aj who had the same smile upon his face. "What?"
"We will talk about it when we get outside. It's too hot in here." Aj finished and continued to pull me to the door.
"Wait a damn minute. I have to get my purse." I was getting frustrated. I hated to be patient. I pulled away from them and made my way to the bar. Bart, the bartender had said he would hold it for me. He saw me coming and was waiting for me and handed me my purse. I turned not expecting anyone to be behind me and nearly ran into Nick and Aj. I looked up at both of them and grinned, "Afraid I'm gonna run away?" I raised my eyebrow and both of them grinned. Nick put his hand on my back and we followed Aj through the crowd and out into the cooler night air. I wasn't expecting it to be so much cooler and I shivered.
Before I could think Aj had me in his arms, "Cold? I can think of a few ways to warm you up." He lowered his head and I felt his lips barely brush mine. He pulled away from me and I wanted to groan but I held back.
"Now, you said that you didn't want to leave with strange men." Nick spoke again coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. "What would we have to do to change your mind." He pulled me back into him and again I felt his warmth.
I looked up at Aj, his brown eyes smoldering. It took all of about two second for me to make up my mind what I would be doing tonight. "Well now lets think about it. I can either go home with two guys," I paused and ground my hips back into Nick's which made his hips jerk into mine, "Or I can go home alone." I reached up and pulled Aj's face down to mine and pressed my lips against his. I gently sucked on his bottom lip as he went to deepen the kiss I pulled away. "I wonder which I will choose."
Nick grabbed my hips and ground himself harder against me, "I know what you better choose or I'm going to do it right here." I could hear him loosing control and I loved it.
"Okay I'm not agreeing to anything unless we go to my house." Aj nodded and I assumed Nick wouldn't be complaining anyway. I pulled away from Nick and started to walk to my car. "There will be no playing in the car. I'll be damned if I have to explain why I had a wreck."
