�Morning!� Julie replied as she joined Melissa in the kitchen.
�Hey Jules! Where�s Jonathon?� Melissa asked pouring herself some juice.
�Well, we didn�t go straight to sleep last night��
�STOP! No more information that was already too much!� Julie laughed at her friend.
�I don�t see Nick either!�
�Two words for you Jules. Five months!�
�Enough said.� They both laughed and sat down on the sofa.
�What are you two laughing at?� Jonathon asked as he and Nick entered the room. They laughed again.
�It�s just girl talk.� Melissa said sitting up so Nick could sit behind her. He pulled her back, so she was leaning on his chest.
�So what is the plan for today Nick?� Jonathon asked sitting next to Julie.
�Well, probably relax since AJ wants to hit Howie�s club tonight.�
�That sounds like fun!� Melissa stated.
�Let�s hit the beach and get some sun till then!� Julie replied as she pulled Jonathon up and then headed to their room to change.
Melissa smiled to herself, happy to see her friends having a great time.
�What brought on that smile?� Nick whispered into her ear. She turned and faced him.
�You did! Thank you so much for all of this Nick, inviting me and my friends.�
�You�re my girlfriend and I wanted to spend some time with you.You don�t need to thank me for that.�
�Yes, I do. You didn�t have to invite Jules and Jonathon.�
�I like them. Jonathon is someone I would definitely hang out with. And Jules�well, she�s like no one.�
�That�s just a nice way of saying, peculiar!� She grinned at him.
�No, I�m serious. She�s protective of the people she loves and I can relate to that. I�m the same way.� He stated touching her cheek. She leaned into his caress. �I�m very protective of you.� His lips brushed hers softly.
�I�m protective of you too.� She captured his lips in a kiss.
�Enough you too, go change so we can go to the beach!� Julie stated entering the room.
Nick and Melissa laughed and then stood up. �I love you too Jules!� Nick smiled as he and Melissa left the room.

Jeni, AJ, Howie, and Alyssa joined them out on the beach. The girls all sat together catching up, while the guys were in the water.
�Yeah, he was a real winner! He asked me out and I had to pay for my ticket and dinner.� Julie gushed. All the girls started laughing at Julie�s story about an ex of her.
�But that�s not the worst of it, tell them Jules!� Melissa added.
�Well, he had a curfew because he got grounded for sneaking out!�
�How old was this guy?� Jeni asked, trying to control her laughter.
�He was only a year younger than me! Needless to say, we didn�t go out again!� They all let go of their laughter.
�Well, I for one am glad it didn�t work out! Then I couldn�t have gotten you and Jonathon together!� Melissa smiled at Julie.
�So Mel, what was your ex like?� Alyssa asked.
�Um�Alyssa that�s a sensitive subject.� Julie intervened.
�No, it�s okay Jules. I can describe him in one word�asshole!�
�I�m sorry Mel, I shouldn�t have said anything.� Alyssa replied feeling bad for bringing up a bad memory.
�No Alyssa, really its okay. He was jerk, but that is the past.� She turned at looked at Nick talking with the guys. �That is my future.� The girls noticed where she was looking.
�Okay, I say we go for a swim.� Jeni said trying to lighten the mood. They all got up and headed down to the water.
�Mel, honey, are you okay?� Nick asked looking worried.
�Everything is fine. Join us; we are going for a swim.� Melissa stated pulling him to the water. The guys joined the girls and ran to the water.

The girls were upstairs getting ready to go to the club, while the guys were downstairs. Melissa stepped out of the bathroom, wearing a simple short black halter dress with shirred sides.
�I don�t know about this Jeni?� She said smoothing out the fabric.
�Wow, Mel you look hot!� Julie stated walking over to her.
�I agree, Mel that dress fits you perfectly! You have to wear it; you will make Nick not want to leave the house.� The girls laughed, but stopped when there was a knock on the door. Jeni answered the door to find AJ standing there.
�Hey girls, how much longer?�
�Not much longer, honey. Come here and tell Mel how fabulous she looks!� Jeni replied pulling him into the room. AJ looked at Melissa as he entered the room.
�Damn Mel, you are going to knock Nick off his feet.�
�Alright, then it is settled. Mel you are wearing the dress and here put these shoes on.� Jeni stated handing her a pair of black strap shoes. �Honey, head downstairs we will be there in a minute.� She pushed AJ out the door and then shut it.
AJ laughed to himself as he descended the stairs. �Are they ready?� Nick asked when he reached the bottom.
�Oh yeah they are ready!� He said and walked over to Howie.
�What is so funny?� Howie asked AJ.
�Just watch!� He said turning his head, hearing the girls coming down the steps. Melissa was the last to come down the stairs and everyone was watching her and Nick. Nick was speechless. She looked gorgeous and sexy in that dress. It took a moment for him to be able to speak.
�You look stunning!� He said kissing her cheek.
�Thank you.� She replied smelling his cologne when he kissed her cheek.
�Okay lovebirds, let�s go!� Jeni said as everyone exited the house.
Nick quickly pulled Melissa back. He gave her a heated and intense kiss. When they pulled apart, she was breathless.
�What was that for?� Melissa asked once she gathered her breath.
�With the way you look, I couldn�t help myself.� He smiled at her.
�Save that for tonight!� She responded seductively walking out of the house.
