Nick showed Julie and Jonathon where they were staying. Then he let them get settled and so Jonathon could change his clothes. The remaining six sat down in the living room, chatting.
�Mel we should have a girls� day. You know go shopping, see a movie, hit some clubs.� Jeni said leaning into AJ.
�Sounds like fun, I know Jules would love it.� Melissa said sitting next to Nick on the plush sofa.
�And what are we suppose to do?� AJ asked looking at Jeni.
�Do some male bonding!�
�I get to bond with Nick and Howie all the time, I want to bond with you!� He stated raising his eyebrows.
�We can do that once I get back from the clubs with the girls!�
Melissa and Nick laughed at the two of them.
�We will talk about this later. Come on girls, D, we have to get the food for the cookout.� They were going to have a big cookout with everyone to welcome Melissa, Julie, and Jonathon.
�We will be back in a couple of hours!� AJ stated as he, Jeni, Alyssa, and Howie headed to the door.
�Alone at last!� Nick said as he leaned in to kiss her.
�But we aren�t alone!� Melissa said leaning back.
�Come with me!� Nick pulled her up from the couch and headed upstairs. He drew her into their room and locked the door. �Now we are as alone as we can be! Come here!� Nick walked over to her and pulled her in close. He kissed her passionately as he backed her to the bed. Nick laid her down gently and covered her with his body.
�I love the fact that I can do this any time I want for the next two months.� He replied kissing her neck.
�Who said you could do this whenever you want?� She asked smiling up at him.
�Wouldn�t you the one who said you would show how much you love me once you got here?�
�I did say that didn�t I?� She laughed. He chuckled at her as he brushed her cheek. She stopped laughing and looking into his eyes. �I always keep my promises.� She lightly pulled his head down to her and tenderly kissed him. He returned the kiss and slowly unbuttoned her shirt. Gradually her hands found the hem of his shirt and tugged it over his head. His shirt fell to the ground and Nick returned to Melissa.
�Mel, are you in there?� Julie yelled through the door.
�Maybe if we are quiet, she will leave!� Nick whispered.
�I don�t think so Nick.� Melissa grinned.
�Mel, I know you are in there! Change into your swimsuit and join us on the beach!� A couple of minutes had passed and Nick thought the coast was clear.
�I think she left!� Nick stated.
�Mel, are you coming?� Melissa couldn�t control her laughter any longer.
�I�m coming Jules. Why don�t you and Jonathon head down, Nick and I will be down in a couple of minutes!� Melissa replied as she got up from the bed.
Nick grunted to himself as he laid on his back in the bed. Melissa turned and rested next to him. �Hey, remember we have two whole months. We don�t have to rush anything.�
�I know, but is it so bad that I want some alone time with my beautiful and sexy girlfriend?�
�There is that Carter charm I love. I want to be alone with you too, we�ll find a way. Till then, let�s have fun with our friends.� She dug into her suitcase and grabbed her swimsuit. As she entered the adjoining bathroom to their room, Nick quickly changed into his swim trunks.
�Are you ready to go to the beach?� Melissa asked as she exited the bathroom. Nick just stared at her; he had seen her body before, but not like this. The hunter green swimsuit fit her body perfectly. It showed off her curves, her flat stomach, and her long legs.
�Nick?�
�Sorry, yeah I�m ready.�
�Okay good, I just need to find my flip flops.� She said as she tied her black sarong around her slender waist. She immediately found her shoes and slipped them on. �Alright, let�s go.�
Nick opened the door and they exited, but not before he said,� God, help me!�

As they descended the stairs, AJ, Jeni, Alyssa, and Howie came back with the food.
�Mel, I love your suit!� Jeni replied.
�Thanks, you and Alyssa should changed and join us. Jules and Jonathon are already on the beach.�
�Great idea, we will be back guys. Come with us Mel.� Alyssa said as her, Jeni, and Melissa headed over to the other beach house.
�Damn Nick, Mel looks hot in that bikini!� AJ said watching the girls leave.
Nick smacked AJ�s arm. �Put your eyes back into their sockets.�
�I�m only joking around Nick.�
�I know Bone; she does look amazing doesn�t she?�
�Alright, Romeo back to earth. Brian, Leigh, Kristin, and Kevin are going to be here in a little bit, so let�s get everything ready.�
In no time everything was done. The food was set on the picnic tables, Howie was cooking on the grill, and everyone was in their suits.
�Where�s the guest of honor?� Brian hollered over everyone.
Melissa greeted him and Leigh who were already in their suits. �Brian!� Melissa yelled as they embraced. They became closer after everything that happened. Brian was like a big brother to her and Melissa was like a little sister to him. �Leighanne, you look beautiful!� She said after her hug with Brian.
�Thank you, you look beautiful too!� Leighanne replied as they hugged. The girls sat down at one of the tables and started talking. Brian joined the guys by the grill.
�Hey Frack, Bone, D!� He said.
�Hey B! Glad you could join us!� Nick replied.
�Of course man, it isn�t everyday that I get to see Mel.� Brian smiled at him as Nick watched Melissa.
�Hey boys!� Kevin said as he and Kristin joined the party.
�Hey you two! Thanks for coming!� Nick said hugging them.
�Sure Nick, we like Mel. Speaking of, I�m going to join the girls!� �Bye boys!� Kristin stated as she walked over to them.
�So Nick how does it feel to have Mel here?� Kevin asked smiling, knowing the answer.
�He hasn�t stopped smiling since she got here!� AJ replied. The guys laughed at AJ�s comment.
�You were the same way when you started dating Jeni!� Howie stated.
�I do believe Kevin asked me the question!� Nick turned and looked at him. �It feels wonderful; this is exactly what we both needed.�
�Good, we are happy for both you and Mel.�
�Hey B, can you get me a plate from the kitchen?� Howie asked flipping the meat on the grill.
�Sure.� He responded as he entered the beach house. He found a plate in the top cupboard and headed back out when he heard a noise.
Ring�Ring�Ring
Brian picked up the cell phone and realized it was Melissa�s. He exited the house and quickly found her.
�Mel, your cell is ringing.� He stated as he handed her the phone.
�Thanks Brian. It�s my mom, I hope everything�s okay.� She replied before she answered her cell. �Mom, what�s wrong?�
