The video continued to follow Melissa and the girls to every store they entered. Whoever was controlling the camera, got very close to Melissa. At one point, the person was standing right next to her. Nick felt sick to his stomach, just watching the video tape. Just then the video zoomed in on Melissa, then a voice came over the film.
�I can get to her whenever I want and you can�t stop me. Face it Nick, she�s mine and will always be. I had her first and I will have her last. You can hire ten bodyguards to protect her, but nothing will stop me. How does it feel to know you can�t protect the woman you love? Don�t worry Nicky boy, I�ll take good care of her.�
Then the video went fuzzy and AJ quickly turned off the TV. He looked at his friend who had his head in his hands.
�Nick?�
�How am I going to keep her safe? He got this close to her and no one even noticed.�
�Nick, if it was Adam, Mel would have noticed, it must have been someone else.� Jonathon stated.
�So great, now he has people helping him?� Nick yelled as he stood up.
�Nick you have to calm down.� AJ replied.
�How am I supposed to do that AJ, this maniac is after Mel and I don�t know how to keep her safe!�
�We will think of something.� AJ replied touching Nick�s shoulder.
�I can�t lose her AJ, I can�t.�
�You won�t, I promise you that Nick. You won�t lose her.�
�We�re back!� Jeni proclaimed as the girls entered the beach house. AJ and Jonathon quickly greeted the girls, so Nick could have a moment.
�What did you buy?� Howie asked Alyssa.
�Since when are you curious what I brought?� Alyssa asked as she sat down her bags.
�Can�t I be curious?�
�What are you guys up to?� Jeni asked looking at AJ.
�Nothing honey, we just missed you girls.� AJ said kissing Jeni�s cheek. Julie looked over at Jonathon and could tell something was wrong. However she wasn�t going to bring it up now. Not after having a good time shopping with the girls, plus they had the whole night planned out. Melissa needed to have some fun, they all did.
�What is with all the food?� Jonathon asked as he looked through the bags.
�We are having a girls� night, so that means all you guys are leaving!� Julie replied grabbing the bag from him.
�Why don�t you guys make yourselves useful and put these away.� Jeni said handing the sacks to Jonathon, Howie, and AJ. They headed into the kitchen, leaving Nick and Melissa alone.
�Nick is everything okay?� She asked walking over to him.
Nick looked at her and plastered a fake smile on his face. �Everything�s fine, now that you here with me. I missed you.� He stated and wrapped her in a hug.
She wrapped her arms around him, laying her head against his chest. �How was your day?� She asked once they pulled away.
�The Buccaneers lost, so not too well. Plus I missed you and now you are doing this whole girls� night.�
�I�m sorry honey, but I have an idea that will cheer you up.� She pulled him in for a slow and passionate kiss. They broke apart, resting their foreheads against each others.
�Better?�
�A little, but I think I need some more.� Melissa smiled at him and then kissed him again.
�Break it up lovebirds, the guys need to head next door!� Jeni replied entering the room.
�Can�t this be a co-ed slumber party?� AJ asked kissing Jeni�s neck.
�I like that idea.� Howie stated wrapping his arms around Alyssa�s waist.
�As appealing as that sounds, not tonight. Now get out of here, so we can start our girls� night.� Julie said as she ushered the guys out.
�I�ll be upstairs if you need me.� Darrell replied as he headed up the stairs.
�Alright, let�s get this party started!� Julie proclaimed to everyone.
