"Remind me again why I"m helping you?" AJ asked as he helped Nick plan a special night for him and Melissa.
"How about the numerous times I helped you with your plans for Jeni?"
"He"s got you there AJ!" Howie smiled at him.
"Why are you doing this anyway? Didn"t Mel forgive you for your stupidity?" He grinned at Nick.
"Yes, she forgave me, but I want to make up for what happened! I totally overreacted. She"s means everything to me. I don"t know what I would do without her." He stated as images of her entered his mind.
"I don"t think you have to worry about that Frack. Mel is completely in love with you. You have found yourself a great girl and we are all happy for you." Howie replied patting Nick"s shoulder.
"She is great and you know what D? She is different from any other girl I have dated! She could care less about money or fame. All that really matters to her are her friends and family and she would do anything for them."
"What is her family like?" AJ asked.
"Her mom is just like Mel, protective, but loving. Her dad was blunt, but honest." Nick laughed.
"What"s so funny?" Howie questioned.
"I was remembering the first time I met her parents"."

"Mom, dad this Nick. Nick, this is my mom, Cathy, and my dad, Mike." Melissa said as they shook hands.
"It"s nice to meet you, thank you for letting me use your guesthouse."
"You"re welcome Nick. It"s not everyday that we get to meet a celebrity. So what brings you to Illinois?"
"I just needed a break from the spotlight."
"Well you should have Mel show you around, that is if she can find the time."
"Mom, I don"t work that much!"
"Yes you do honey, you should take a break. Maybe you and Nick can do something together." She said smiling at them.
"Mom!"
"What you can"t blame your mother for trying!"
"Dad, you are awfully quiet!" Melissa stated looking over at him.
"What are your intentions towards my daughter Nick?"
"Dad! Nick I"m so sorry, I don"t know what has gotten into my parents."
"It"s okay Mel. Sir, my intentions towards your daughter are honorable and innocent. She helped me out of bad situation and I hope after all of this that we can be friends." He stated looking at Melissa"s father then turned to her.

"Your intentions now aren"t innocent anymore." AJ stated laughing.
"Funny AJ! Can we get back to work?" Nick asked as they all sat down and worked out the details.
"Okay, we will make ourselves scarce for the night and then we will bring Jules and Jonathon over to our beach house, right?" Howie asked Nick.
"Yeah, that way Mel and I can have the whole house to ourselves." Nick smiled to himself. "What time is it?"
"It"s almost four; the girls should be coming back soon. So we better finish up." Howie stated.
"The girls know what to do, right?" Nick asked AJ.
"Yeah, Jeni and Alyssa know that they have to keep Mel busy till six and then head over here."
"Good, let"s finish up."

By the time they got back from shopping, the sun had set and the stars were coming out.
"I think I spent too much money!" Alyssa stated as they got out of the car.
"What make you think that Alyssa? The ten bags of clothes in the trunk?" Jeni laughed.
"You aren"t any better, the rest of the bags are yours!" All the girls started laughing.
"I had so much fun girls, but I"m exhausted. I think I"ll go lay down." Melissa said as she walked over to the house.
"Mel, I"m going to help Alyssa and Jeni with their bags." Julie said as they grabbed the bags and giggled.
"She had no idea what"s about to happen!"
