As time passed, Melissa"s and Nick"s relationship grew stronger. Nick continued the tour with the guys, while Melissa went back to Illinois. Melissa"s dad was doing better and was back at work. It was then that her parents convinced her to go back to school. Her first semester was coming to the end and she was ready for the summer. She had taken extra classes to catch up. Today was her last final.
"I"m so glad that is over!" Melissa said to Anne, her classmate.
"You aren"t the only one! Hey a bunch of us are going to the club, do you want to join us?" Anne asked as they walked to their cars.
"I love to, but my boyfriend is calling tonight. I haven"t seen him in months; the only time I get to spend with him is over the phone."
"Ah, the mystery boyfriend! I don"t know how you do it Mel! I would miss Jesse so much if I couldn"t see him."
"It"s not easy, but Nick is worth it!" Melissa smiled as she thought of him.
"Have fun, I"ll call you!" Anne stated as she got into her car.
Melissa got into her car and drove home. She moved into the guesthouse again. Her parents insisted that she have a space of her own. She entered the house and noticed her answer machine was blinking. She hit play as she placed her tote bag and purse in her room.
"Hi Mel, its Jules, just wanted to see how your finals went. Call me when you get a chance! Love ya!"

"Mel, it"s Jeni, I was calling to say hi! Oh AJ wanted me to say hi for him!" "Hi Mel!" AJ yelled in the background. Melissa laughed as the message continued. "You missed one hell of a tour! Wish you could of joined us. We missed you, especially Nick! I"ll let you go. Call me girl, bye!"

"Hello, my brown-eyed angel!" Melissa rushed into the room. She knew that voice anywhere, it was Nick. He had given her that nickname, saying she saved him. "I miss you so much! I wish you were here so I could hold you and show you how much I miss you."
Melissa sighed, she missed him so much. She hadn"t seen him in five months and it was agony.
"I just wanted to let you know, I won"t be calling till later tonight. Something came up, but I hope you will wait up for me. Trust me it will be worth it, I have a surprise for you! I love you angel."
Melissa ate dinner and then called Julie. They talked for a couple of hours. After they ended their conversation, Melissa changed into her pajamas, a tank top and drawstring pants. It was almost midnight and the day events were finally hitting her hard. She could barely keep her eyes open. Her attempt to stay awake failed. She soon fell asleep on the sofa clutching her cell phone.
Nick pulled into the driveway that had become familiar to him. There were so many memories here. The first time he kissed her, their snowball fight, the first time they made love. They had shared many more memories since then. He walked up the steps and opened the door. His eyes landed on Melissa"s sleeping form. He smiled to himself as he saw her holding the phone. She had tried to wait for him, but sleep consumed her.
He placed his bag down by the sofa. He didn"t know it would be this late, but it was a last minute decision. Nick sat down on the edge of the coffee table and he brushed a strand of hair out of her face.
"My brown-eyed angel." He stated softly. He wanted to let her sleep, knowing she had a long day with her finals. However, he wanted to let her know he was there.
"Mel, honey wake up." He said touching her cheek. Her eyes opened and focused on him.
"I must be dreaming." She said aloud.
Nick smiled. "No, honey, I"m really here."
She sat up and looked at him. As if she didn"t believe him, she touched his face. "Nick!" She went straight into his arms.
"My brown-eyed angel!" He wrapped his arms around her tightly, never wanting to forget how she felt in them.
She pulled away and kissed him longingly. She had missed everything about him; above all she missed his kisses. They could make her body come alive in no other way.
"I really like this greeting!" He said once they broke apart.
She hit his arm playfully. "Why didn"t you tell me you were coming?"
"First ouch and second I wanted it to be a surprise!" He said rubbing the arm she hit.
"Oh please, that didn"t hurt!" She said standing up and walking into the kitchen. He quickly followed her. She grabbed a bottle of water out of the refrigerator. He came up behind, wrapped his arms around her waist and started kissing her neck.
"Can you forgive me?" He asked in between kisses.
She leaned into him as he hands ran through his hair. "I think that can be arranged." She moaned.
He slide down one strap of her top and showered her shoulder with kisses. She turned to face him. "I love you Nick." She replied softly holding his face.
He kissed her passionately, picked her up, and placed her on the kitchen table. "I love you Mel." He stated then kissed her again then leaned her back onto the table.
Nick lifted her tank top and exposed her flat stomach. He left a trail of wet and hot kisses up her stomach. He kissed her chest as she dug her hands into his back. He lowered the other strap to her top and kissed that shoulder. He kissed her lips with all the love and lust that he held for five months. Slowly they removed their clothes. He caressed her body with his hands while his mouth sucked on her skin. She moaned his name as her nails dug into his shoulders. She had missed this feeling, a feeling of losing control. He brought that sensation out of her.
Hearing her moan his name turned him on even more. Her touch set his body on fire. Her skin tasted sweet as he kissed her. He wanted this feeling to never end. He entered her and they began to move as one. She called out his name as she climaxed, he soon followed. Once he caught his breath, he carried her to the bedroom. She laid her head on his chest, as he enclosed his arms around her.
After a few minutes, Nick spoke breaking the silence. "That was amazing." He stated kissing the top of her head.
"Yeah it was, but I"ll never look at that kitchen table the same way again!" Nick started to laugh and she joined him.
"I miss this so much." He said running his hands through her hair.
"Me too, five months is too long." She replied placing her hand on his arm. "When do you have to leave?"
"Tomorrow." He said pulling her closer.
Feeling used, Melissa got out of bed and put on her robe.
"Mel where are you going?" Nick asked sitting up.
"I need some air, I"ll be back." She exited the bedroom and went out onto the back porch. Nick got up, put on his jeans, and followed her. She was standing there looking up at the stars.
"Is everything okay?" He asked wrapping his arms around her.
"Yeah, everything is fine." She responded not looking at him.
"Mel, look at me!" He turned her so she was facing him. He could see tears forming in her eyes. He pulled her into his arms.
"Angel what"s wrong?"
"I just feel like you just stop by for a quickie and now you"re leaving." He pulled her back so he could see her face.
"Mel you know that"s not true. I love you, I love being with you in every sense of the word."
"I know you love me, but I can"t help how I feel. I"m sorry, I shouldn"t have said anything."
"Come here." He sat down on a patio chair with her on his lap. "I don"t want you to ever think you can"t tell me something. I"m sorry you feel used, I hate that you feel that way."
"No, I"m sorry; I know you aren"t using me. I just hate being away from you for months at a time."
His hand caressed her thigh. "I hate it too. Being away from you is torture."
"I just wish we could spend more than a day together."
"How would you feel about spending two months with me?" He grinned up at her.
"What are you talking about?"
"I told you I had a surprise."
"Yeah, but I thought you being here was the surprise."
"It"s only part of it. Follow me!" He led her inside to the living room. He dug into his bag and pulled out a brochure.
"This is the rest of my surprise." He handed her a brochure.
As Melissa looked over the brochure, Nick stated, "AJ, Jeni, Alyssa, Howie, Jules, Jonathon, you, and me in Florida for two whole months. The guys and I are renting these two beachfront houses for the summer."
She looked up at him. "What about the tour?"
"We are taking a break before the next big tour. What do you think Mel, do you want to spend two months with your boyfriend?"
"I would love to, Nick, but my parents."
"They know and they want you to go. They think you deserve it after helping them."
"Jules and Jonathon?" She asked him moving to the sofa next to him.
He faced her and said, "I called Jonathon from the plane, he and Jules are coming! Everything is set; all that I"m waiting on is your answer."
"You know my answer Carter. Yes, I would love to go!" She wrapped her arms around his neck. "You are amazing! I love you so much!" She tenderly kissed him as he ran his hand up in her hair.
"You will be so bored of me by the end of this trip." He stated brushing hair out of her face.
"That"s not possible." She pushed him onto his back as she straddled his hips. "I"m sure we can find ways to entertain ourselves." She said untying her robe. Nick smiled and replied, "Really? Do you have any ideas?"
She tossed her robe onto the floor. "I have one idea!"
