My Autograph from John

I wrote a letter to John Larroquette on August 12, 2000 expressing my appreciation of his performance on The 10th Kingdom and asking for his autograph so you can imagine my surprise and delight when I received it September 27, 2002!

Here is some of what I wrote to him:

Dear John Larroquette

Thank you for making me smile. I loved your part as Tony Lewis on The 10th Kingdom. I thought it was hilarious when you grabbed that toad in Prince Wendell's castle and threw it out the door that exploded.

I also liked the part when you confronted the blind woodsman, "What is it with you people." Your New York character Tony Lewis always seemed to be at odds with the customs and ideals of the magical 9 Kingdoms. I thought your character as Tony was similar to your role as Dan Fielding on Night Court. Just as the 9 Kingdoms defied 10th Kingdom logic alot of the cases on Night Court were ridiculous and Dan reacted the same as Tony did. "What is it with you people."

John also visited my John Larroquette Fan Page site and corrected his wife's maiden name (Cookson not Cook). I thanked him for the correction and let him know how much I enjoyed The 10th Kingdom.

He sent me a response back and this is what he said about The 10th Kingdom:

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed The 10th Kingdom. We spent six months in England, France and Austria filming that and it was a tough shoot. Kimberly and Scott were wonderful to work with as were many of the English actors whose work I've admired for years. Not to mention Diane Wiest. One of the main reasons I took the job was knowing I'd get to work with her.
