A member of the Kissingtown group, remembering that Scott's brother Steve lived in the New Orleans area, sent a message that the fans were thinking of him. Scott answered back and wanted to assure all his fans, that his family is safe: Thank you so much for thinking of my family during this time. They all got out safely and are together way up in the north, far away from storm central. Obviously I have been remiss in taking care of all of the fans out there but at one point it became so much that I was really unable to deal with it. One of these days I will get to making a website and hiring someone to help. In the mean time I cherish all that has been done, all that is still being done, and all that will be done! I hope you can take this message out to all those great people and spread the word that the Gulf Coast needs so much help. Whatever anyone can do to participate would be amazing. I give to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief at 1 800 Help-Now. I send you all my best and thanks again...unbelievable what friends can do. ~ Also ~ Many other celebrities have contributed their time and talent toward the hurricane relief efforts. John Larroquette, who was born in New Orleans, has donated some artwork to a charity auction for the Red Cross and done some Public Service Announcements urging people to give donations. Here is what it said on MSNBC:
