I took Liam for his first day at the big city pool, and it was a disaster! He was too tried, cried the whole time and fell asleep in the hot sun. When we left --early, I fell and sprained my ankle really bad!! ROFL. Read all about it on the mobile blog. Here: Where's Gavin Mobile
Also, Mommy is selling Tahitian Noni Juice now, visit her site here: Jenny Webster's Noni Page Prices listed are retail. Email me for wholesale info.

Ooooops... 3 Months! I let three months go by without an update! Well Liam keeps us BUSY. Also, there were 3 weeks where I didn't have my lap top b/c it had crashed and had to be sent off for repair!
Liam is just getting so huge! And growing so fast. He is pointing like mad at things, something Gavin never did. He is naming things, talking essentially. Sometimes he is actually pretty close to "kitty" "daisy" "squeaks" "gavin" etc etc... He claps, plays peek-a-boo. Ah the life of an UNVACCINATED, NON MERCURY TAINTED little baby!!
I started taking Liam and Gavin with me to the chiropractor. Imagine that. Not to long ago I thought that was child abuse! How opinions change with just a touch of knowledge! Gavin has started medical treatment to address his biomedical issues with autism, and will in the near future, start chelating to remove the mercury from his body. He has a new blog at Where's Gavin???. Check it out!
Gavin is getting more used to having Liam around I think, he even wanted to rockLiam for a while tonight. Gavin still doesn't like to have Liam messing with him too much, but Liam tries!! He loves his big brother very much, and is very interested in him.
I will try to update this more often!! lol. right!
March 14, 2005.
Two updates in one month? Wow!
Liam is 6 months old now. He didn't grow this month, but he stopped having to have cereal in every bottle so that explanis it. He is 28" and 19 pounds 6 oz., still a big boy! --Oh yeah, of course his head grew some more! Its now off the chart at 18.5"
Check out his video clip page to see clips of him eating a choc cookie and drinking his juice thru a straw!

Liam already has his pincer grasp. I put a raisin on his tray just to see if he would notice it, and he picked it up nicely with his pointer finger and thumb! Yes I am bragging. I don't care what anyone thinks about that. Not only that, he told me he wanted me to open a book for him the other day. He touched the pages of the book --he couldn't get to them b/c the book was velcro'd shut. So he touched the pages, looked back at me, touched them again. Then he grabbed my hand and touched it to the book. One may not recognize that as communication, but having a non verbal autistic child has taught me that what Liam did IS communication. He basically said, "Hey Lady, I can't chew on these pages with the book shut, wanna help me out??" We are going to start baby signs NOW! lol
He is also rolling like a pro now and sitting up on his own. I am certain he will be walking next week ;) He turns 6 months old on the 13th. Be sure to check out the kids video clip page Click Here to See Them. I will be renaming the page and making it look pretty soon, but for now it is just a list of clips. It loads pretty fast, but I have not tried it with dial up.

Here is a nice long update!
Liam has been up to a lot! He is now 5 months old, 28" long, 19lbs 4oz and had a 18" head! My little linebacker is growing just nicely.
Things are going well as we were able to take the cereal out of his bottles, his reflux seems to be much less than it was. With the cereal out he now takes about 4 bottles a day. Also with the cereal out of his bottle he gets some oatmeal midmorning. He had tasted mixtures of rice cereal before and rice is what he got in his bottles, BUT he didn't like it. Well he loves the oatmeal! I mix it with some formula, some juice and a couple spoons of fruit. (this is a new thing now, its just been the past few days we did this, so the routine is all new for him). This morning was hilarious, he had fallen asleep early last night and skipped his bedtime bottle, so when he woke up this morning I DID give him a cereal bottle. So I figured he wouldn't be too hungry for a while. I mixed up his cereal and when he saw me coming he whipped his little body around, jumped, smiled, opened his mouth and grabbed at the food and my hand!!! He's a little piglet.
He also gets one meal a day of "food", he gets a 2.5 ounce container of veggies (he gets from the following selection: green beans, carrots, peas, squash) and the rest of the fruit that was in his cereal (pears, apple sauce, or peaches). So far foods that have not gone over well were sweet potatos --after two days of those he was real fussy and gassy, so they were pulled. Also, banana's. I think he had an allergic reaction to them, very blotchy and itchy, so after two days of those we are on hold for a while.
Also, the formula. I didn't make a very good cow. I wanted to breast feed Liam but we had lots of troubles. I ended up switching to soy formula. Long story short I read about the high estrogen levels in soy (which has me worried about Gavin since he drank soy formula for 5 years when he wouldnt eat anything else) and the amount of aluminum salts in soy formulas. So I switched Liam to a milk based and guess what? Itchy blothcy baby eczema! So we had to switch back. I am not happy about it and am going to investigate a few things... like how quick I can get him off of it before age one. I dont want him to be malnurished, but no boy needs the equivalent of hormone in 5 birth control pills everyday or ALUMINUM, which is the cause of alzheimers... OH DEATH TO THE FORMULA MAKERS. And why are my kids allergic to milk?? NOT lactose... to the actual milk protiens???? Oh I have my theories.... Well anyway we JUST got his skin cleared back up when the banana incident occured, and it is sad b/c the boy loves his bananas!!!
So there is out food story. If grandpa will stop giving him licks of ice cream and gummy bears, we will be ok! OH how could I forget his sippy cup!! this kid was obsessed with trying to drink out of my coffee mug and glass! I bought the soft spout cup attachments for the avent bottles, he is drinking out of them well, they are not hard plastic so baby can suck on them like a nipple --somewhat. He is even starting to show interest in holding it and tipping it up. I swear he is going to skip the bottle soon. Gavin was off of it by age 1. Liam will be similar.
Liam is still vaccine free and doing great. I have no reservations about it. His physical development is great! You know, he's only rolled from belly to back once, but he is OH SO CLOSE to making it over. In the meantime he loves to jump and stand... he sits pretty good too. His favorite game is "standup, sit down" We hold his hand and tell him to stand up and he does... then sit down and he does, he anticipates it and gets jumpy and get so hysterical with laughter while he does it. I just know this kid will walk before he even rolls over or crawls. He just tried to "go" all the time.
He is laughing and squealing, growling, rasberries, and babbling now --lip sounds /b//d/ mostly of course. He has said "mum mum" for a long time now --lol, but only when crying...He sleeps all night, super social. And what else can I say? Monday Gavin and Liam are going to Sears for St Pat's pics!!! I will post them, of course!
We will be starting baby signs soon too!
January 21, 2005.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! um... a little late.
So I am REALLY bad at keeping this up to date! Hey, Christmas was busy, we had all sorts of things to do. I guess! Yeah that's it! Liam is now four months old.
Liam is doing fine, sitting up nicely with support, and a bit on his own. He rolled over from belly to back the other day but hasn't repeated it. He loves to play with his feet. His stuffed elephant is still his favorite toy. He like to sit and look at his books, and is really great at grabbing his toys and putting them to his mouth. Very social, very giggly, and just all around doing everything well and on target! I guess that is all for now. You know me I wont be updating now for probably another month!
December 9th, 2004.
Yeah, I am awful at updating! Liam got his first cold, thanks to me, the day before Thanksgiving. He just shook it. Actually on Monday I almost took him to the doctor a day early b/c his left lung was rattling and he kept rubbing his right ear. He was still having fever and chills. And you know I hate doctors... thankfully by Tuesday it all seemed to have cleared up. So all is well. I left the doctors office without making a 4 month "well baby" apointment. I am not getting Liam his shots, and if he's not sick there is no reason to take a perfectly healthy baby to the doctors office.
I took him off of his reflux meds too. He had bad side effects that I didn't feel like messing around with. I thickened up his formula with more cereal and for the most part he is keeping it down. He is obviously growing just fine!! 15 pounds 25 inches long. No worries. He still sleeps semi-upright in his bouncy chair... until about 5 to 6 a.m. when he wakes up fussing. Then he joins mommy in bed!! Yes, he is sleeping all night.
He is a very social baby. Such a talker! And a flirt with the ladies, he lures 'em in with those big blue eyes and Webster grin. He is already a couple months ahead in development when it comes to some verbal imitation and other social skills, he is truly impressing me and I am a skeptic when it comes to such things. I don't believe anything is a truly aquired skill until I see it about 1,623 times. He is also sitting up very nicely with support, which is good b/c I hear Santa is bringing him an exasaucer! He can't stop checking out his hands or the Christmas decortations, I think he finally realized that he can see in color and see a lot more things. He never stops looking around.
He loves his brother, has such an interest in Gavin --too bad Gavin can take him or leave him. I think it will be a riot when Liam is big enough to follow Gavin everywhere. It will be good for Gavin.
Well I will try to update more often, notice I stopped writing the log in that cutesy "Liam's Voice" It takes too much effort! lol really! I just started my 3rd quarter of MSPH classes and this time its Environmental Health and *gulp* Biostats. I HATE stats. Its gonna be a long 12 weeks.
November 9th, 2004.
Today I had my 2 month check up. I weighed a whopping 12 pounds and 6 ounces, have a 16" head and am now 24" long! I have some reflux that keeps me up at night and chokes me, so mommy is starting me on some medicine. I still do not sleep through the night. So far my eyes look very blue, not that grey blue color anymore, mommy is still hoping they stay blue, we'll see.
Yesterday was my big brothers birthday. He is now 8 years old. Mom said she is taking us to get our pictures taken together at the end of the week. What is with all the pictures these people take? I can't even see anymore... nothing but a bright flash blub!
October 13th, 2004.
I am 1 month old today and got weighed and measured. I am now up to 11 pounds and am 23 inches long. Mommy calls me all sorts of porky pig names. Her arm goes numb after holding me a while. She says my big head cuts off the circulation and pinches all her nerves, so dramatic my mommy!
We will be putting up some new pictures soon. Stay tuned!
September 28th, 2004.
I will be glad when September is over b/c every time mommy types it she types: "Spetember" then has to go back and fix her mistake! Its getting old already.
And now mommy's turn:
So I have been asked a few times for details about having the baby so here is the short version. Liam had great timing. I spent Sunday the 12th getting every last thing out of the slumlord house. And by Sunday night had a feeling that Liam would be making his appearance soon! At 0130 I woke up with some annoying cramps. Everything I had read said if you move and they go away, they are not real contractions. (I found that nothing I read was worth the paper its written on!) With Gavin I was induced, never felt a contraction until my water broke... so I really had no clue this time.
By 0300 I starting timing the suckers... and guess what? Nothing regular. But by 0500 I figured I better go in. Good thing. I will spare all the boring details for the guys who may be reading this (you are welcome), but basically things were moving fast. I hadn't been dialating at all, yet by the time I got to the hospital I was 5-6 cm. I requested drugs IMMEDIATELY.
THEY DIDN'T WORK. The epidural only numbed my right side. Not cool. And another difference from Gavin, Liam's head was so freaking big it actually took 33 minutes of pushing, instead of just 4 pushes total. I blew a ton of blood vessels in my face and eyes, what a sight, it looked like someone had tried to choke me to death. BUT when the drugs don't work, the baby must get out... quickly... OUCH! (I also mangaged to screw up my knee somehow, I am guessing while pushing, and the leg I screwed up wasn't even the numb one... so I guess I was really into it, pushing ALL WRONG...) The big head seemed to be keeping this baby up pretty high, he wanted to make me work. The doc went to break my water to help him come down faster, but here is the mystery... there was nothing to break. I have no clue when my water broke. NONE.
But anyway he was here quickly and the whole thing took place in just a little over 8 hours. Not too shabby. Next time (NO, there will NOT BE a next time) I am bringing a bottle of Tequila JUST IN CASE...
September 23rd, 2004.
Mommy is starting to think I have some sort of growth issue. OK, she is just joking, but there is a little voice nagging. Perhaps I am just a piggy, but the ladies at WIC said I am tied for the biggest head they have ever seen. And along with the monster hands and feet that barely fit into my 0 to 6 month size socks... it looks like I will be getting some teeth soon. AND at 1 and a half weeks I have gained almost a pound! If I am driving a car at the end of the month do not be surprised!
All is going well. Mommy is STILL behind in her school work and needs to get off the computer... NOW MOMMY....
September 19th, 2004.
My mommy plans on putting some more stuff here about my first week in this world, but for tonight a quick update. I guess I was looking a little yellow and not really eating too great, so mommy took me to the doctor to get weighed and then someone stuck my foot with something and it hurt! They thought I might have jaundice but when mommy first started noticing I was turning yellow she stared giving me even more formula to drink, it must have helped b/c my numbers were ok! As of today I am looking pale as normal! Bye bye yellow skin!
Mommy says that I am a piggy. When I went to the doctor at 4 days old I was already back up to my birth weight. She calls me "meat hooks", can you imagine such a nickname? I hear them saying I have big hands and feet. Has mommy seen her own freakishly long fingers and toes?? Where did she think I got these meat hooks anyway? They took my picture tonight b/c I was already holding my own bottle while I was eating. I guess they think that is funny. They also call me "Rusty Hinge" b/c I squeak and make a sound like a door opening... They are mean for picking on such a small baby!
I sleep all day and stay up and party all night. Hey, mommy used to be a night owl! I can't help it she can't keep up anymore. Besides, if I were to sleep all night, then she wouldn't be here working on my webpage with me!!!
