Skiing in Colorado - December 2000

We left snowy Chicago for .... snow! Go figure! Anyway, we stayed with Larry's brother and his family then drove ~45 minutes to Winter Park. We had one day with 7" fresh powder (not Laurie's favorite conditions!) and great conditions the rest of the time. We skied one day with Pete, Megan & John, then the rest by ourselves (only Sarah could keep up with Pete!). We even made a few runs down Mary Jane, their signature run, and visited the Parsenn Bowl at the top of the world (12,060 feet!). We were glad we'd rested for a few days at Pete's house (at 8600 feet) so that we were able to function at that altitude! (more pictures)
