Dolphins
off Hilton Head Island - August 2000

The best part of our boat trip (according to Kim, at least!) was the dolphins we saw. At first, we only saw fins breaking the surface off in the distance.
Then, the captain decided to open up the throttle on the boat and we got a thrill -- at least one dolphin decided to ride our bow wave for about five minutes! Kim took this picture leaning over the side of the bow.
Then the dolphins went away and we sat back to enjoy the rest of the trip, returning to South Harbor right before sunset. All in all, a wonderful trip which we would recommend to anyone who visits Hilton Head.
