Ok, so "Happy Birthday to MEEEEEEEE!!" Yes, this concert was on my birthday and I couldn't have had a better one! Much luv to Steph, who gave me the cutest present ever...a build a bear dressed like Rich that was named "Boston"! And much luv to Melissa and Cheryl for celebrating with me!! Glad we got to hang out with you girls! We must do it again! Gotta love how our seats were right next to eachother! Too sorry, seats 3 and 4!
So yeah, Steph scored us front row seats...too bad they were all the way on the right...but hey, it turned out all good! We were all set with our signs for Rich. I had one that said "It's my birthday and all I want is Rich!" and the other side had "RICH GIRL" with dollar signs and it was made up to look like money with his pic in the middle. Steph had one that said "RICH, DO THE WORM!" So Rich was awesome as always. There's nothing like seeing him live and I knew some of the lines to the new songs he was singing this time around. So I got some love for my signs...he sang and pointed at me during "Summer Girls" and I sang and pointed right back at him...lol I got some love a few more times too..I love it when he makes eye contact with people in the crowd.I think he was surprised that some of us knew the words to his new songs already. Anyway, Steph and I held up the "RICH, DO THE WORM" sign when he freestyled after "Summer Girls" and when he came over to our side of the stage, he rapped about it. "You have a sign, it says "Rich, do the worm!", I'll do it in a minute, cause it's not my turn!"
Soooooo, the best part of my birthday came when I was allowed to see Rich (and finally officially meet the rest of Bad Mood Mike too---who are all awesome, btw!) after his set. I had no moral support either...it was just me going to see him! So yeah, I was nervous! lol! Anyway, after getting introduced to everyone...I got my pic with him (which is all I wanted for my birthday)....and he gave me some birthday hugs...he was alllllll sweaty from just being on stage, but I didn't care!....and yeah, to quote Trevor on MTB, "I chumped out"...I almost cried..lol. He was soooo sweet and tried to calm me down when I told him I was going to cry after he hugged me...lol. He hugged me and I looked up at him and was like "I'm gonna cry now, seriously" and he grabbed my hands and was like "NOOOO, You can't cry!! It's just me! We've met before...me and you are cool...we're cool! There's no need to be all emotional..it's just me! We're cool!" and either him or Mike tossed me some water...lol. Ok, but may I digress? It's my webpage so I guess I can..lol....Just FYI, this was like the 8th time I'd met Rich? And NOW I decide to almost cry? WTF is wrong with me? lolThen, he offered to sign some stuff for me, so he signed some of my personal pics I had taken of him. He signed one that was taken of me with him...and he signed one I had taken of him onstage at the Elle Girl party from September. Then he saw the "Infamous Shell Toe" pic that is posted in one of the "Scared to Know" Sections on this page. Shell Toe Pic because it was on the same page of photos he was looking at. He was like "Is this my shoe?" and I'm like yeah and he asked me to tell him about when I took it and stuff which I did...turns out he LOVED the pic (so maybe he wasn't scared to know that I took it!)...and was showing everyone who was around....lol. Ok, but here's the crazy part...Rich asked for copies of it! lol...and asked for a copy of some of the other pics I had on me that night. I promised to bring them to Atlantic City on Sunday. We talked a lil more about random stuff and even about me being a teacher and about the pics my kids draw of him...then I got a hug goodbye. AND RICH STOLE MY SHARPIE!! I swear he's a Sharpie klepto! He tried to make off with one of mine in NYC in September too..but this time I didn't have the heart to say "Hey! that's my sharpie!" I thanked Rich and everyone profusely (Ohhh, thanks again SO MUCH to the person that made this all happen if you happen to be reading this! *you know who you are...you're the best!*) and went to leave and Rich was like "Hey..btw, I love your shoes!" and I'm like "yup, shell toes!" ('cause I had my Adidas shell toes on just like him!) and he was like "YEAHHH YEAHHH SHELL TOES!!" lol ...and then I went to walk out back to my seat...and ran smack into O-town getting ready to go on stage...lol...and got a "hey" from Dan and Trevor, but security made me wait til O-town got onstage and started their set, so I had to go back and talk to Rich and BMM some more (I know, such a hardship..lol). So "Every Six Seconds" started and I went back to my seat to see the O-boys perform and was still all shaking trying to tell Steph, Mel, and Cheryl what happened in the 20 mins I was gone...lol...So yeah that was like the best birthday ever...lol.
