1st
photo, 1st day, testing. |
I
saw a "construction shack!" |
The
Courtyard by Mariott in Milwaukee. Checkin. |

Freed from the mundane hassle of where to sleep, we step out to
harass the town. |

1st stop, Wendy's senior art show at the MIAD. This is a batch
(can you call art a "batch" or is that demeaning?) of
self-portraits about which Christian & I argued if they were
demented. Some of them are painfully self-evident and dark. Others
lilting and playful. |

I've never seen an art show (a "batch" of art shows?) so
crowded. You couldn't breathe. One of the garage-type buildings
had no heat, but since there were so many people in there it
seemed kind of stuffy and warm. |

A lot of my photos look like this. Dark. Vaguely something or
other. I think this is the hotel room in the morning. |

We made it to Jason & Staci's. They have a house and a child.
We were all completely impressed. |

See the look of astonishment? |

Christian was petrified--literally. He didn't move a muscle for
about an hour. |

I, of course, became great friends with the cat. |

We went out to eat, and to visit Genghis Khan. |

Mmmm. It was good. |

Warm fuzzies and goodbyes. |

bye. |

bye. |
Below:
I was sitting in the front seat, Max in the back. I lifted the
camera over my head, and down on the other side of the headrest,
upside down. Amazingly, she was in the camera's view-- |
|

So the actual photo looks like this. |

But here it is the other way if you're not spatially gifted. |

As we were leaving town, LOOK! A convertible stadium! |

Look! A building where they ran out of funding at the top!
|

Look! A building which never had funding to begin with! |
