Debuted in November of 1999, Tim Burton's film version of Washington Irving's classic tale of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. The movie style is pure Burton with the stylized props, settings, and metamorphical characters. Johnny Depp plays Ichabod Crane, who is a constable in the film, not a schoolmaster as the original story tells. He is urged to go to the small village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate the baffling murders that have occurred most recently. When he arrives, he attends the Van Tassel's house and is first greeted with a kiss by the lovely Katrina Van Tassel. As the story unfolds, Ichabod is unnerved when he asks the town elders about the suspect of the murders....
