Kain was a son of a nobleman in a noble city. He had wealth and power. He visited a village where his life would never be the same. He was brutally slaughtered, ambushed by brigands, and put on a steak. A Necromancer named “Mortanius” gave him two options: live or die. He chose life. Because of this he had become a vampire. He wonders the land of Nosgoth and soon comes to the Pillars of Nosgoth, nine Pillars holding the spiritual and physical features of Nosgoth. Soon he finds that his destiny is to become the Keeper of Balance, taking Ariel’s place. He did not walk side by side with his destiny; instead he damned the world instead of dieing in its salvation. The Sarafan challenged him and his vampiric army to a battle. The army lost. He and the Sarafan Lord fought an mortal battle and he lost. 200 years later Kain was nursed back to health by Umah another Vampire. He now looks for the Sarafan Lord and stops at nothing to destroy them.
I want to talk a little bit about Kain's ill-choice in SR2- well how the story goes. The reason for this is because this page is ALL about Kain and it has a long-lasting impact on him and ALL the other vampires.
The decision Kain made was using the time-streaming device, made by Moebius- Keeper of Time, in the Circle of Nine- to go back into the past and ambush William the Just, the Tyrant that have been known as "Nemesis". This re-ignited the geniocidal hatred of vampires, by Humans. Because of this Vorador was forced into hiding, along with all other exsisting vampires. Vorador was eventually executed.
One Mistake that I will point out here and also on Vorador's page. Vorador was executed in Blood Omen, decapitated for all to see. But yet, he is in BO2, odd. |
