This painting was inspired by a famous brand name of a soy bean ketchup, Bango, used in many parts of Indonesia. Bango is an Indonesian word for heron. A few weeks after this painting was finished on October 2002, a group name Las Ketchup from Spain strikes the rest of the world with their hit record "Asereje", written by Manuel Ruiz, after previously hit Europe. | ||

The picture was a photo of a real thing not a photo of someone else's painting. With some modification according to the painter's mind, because the original picture is so small, only an inch by an inch and a quarter. |

The picture was a photo of a real thing not a photo of someone else's painting. With some modification, it was made to look like having photographic technique, with blurred background.
