The above picture was a design for my next painting. It is about my experience related with Bill Gates and Bill Clinton. Whereas in 1989, the painter worked as a sales representative for Amex cards at the American Express with a boss named Bill. While in 1988, the painter obtained an idea to draw a twin building that shapes like a gate of the ancient kingdoms in Indonesia, like that of the blue buildings on the bottom left of this design. Later on in 1990, an idea came to the painter’s mind to make a series of paintings with windows on it, like that of the three paintings on top of this design.

In other words this painting design would become a combination of those experiences.

But I would like to ask Bill Gates first before producing it. So I sent this painting design to Bill Gates foundation on September 11, 2001, at approximately one o'clock in the afternoon. Please click here to read the copy of the e-mail.

A few hours later I watched the TV in the evening Jakarta time, to find out that the WTC twin building was being attacked.

The Similarities
In the following pictures you could see how the red flame of the WTC building were similar to the red nuance in the middle painting of the three paintings at top of this design. While the smoke aroused from Manhattan looks similar with the trees behind Bill Gates back.


A Caution For Me?

Other similarities are between the pictures of that tragedy with Rahma's painting "Adam Eve Reunion".

The smoke on the left building were longer because the plane hit it rather lower than in the other building. Its shape of smoke looks like Rahma's outfit on the painting. While the hole on the right building looks like the eyes on the rock at the right of the painting.

In Indonesian language, the word "di" that reads as "dee" means "at" in English. While my name is Firman, with letter "F" in front of it. And the name of Rahma's husband is Noval Yahya, with the initial of N.Y.

So, the F.D.N.Y. letters on the back of the fireman on the picture at the top makes me feel like being cautioned by God: "It should have been you who is at the position of Rahma's husband N.Y. But because you were in doubt about it, so you failed. Therefore, there should be no doubt again next time when another chance comes to you."

Well, I certainly hope that next time I would do it better when a girl of my match, I have no idea who would it be, comes to my chance.

My deepest condolences to all of the victims of WTC and Pentagon tragedy on September 11, 2001.
