In the event of something happening to me,

there is something I would like you all to see,

it's just the photograph of someone that I knew...........

(  from the song of Bee Gees,

New York Mining Disaster 1947  )

During 1995 to 1997, Lady Diana found a new hobby of giving responses to some paintings through the mass media, with her poses that resembled to those paintings. As if she treated this world as a huge canvas for her responses to those paintings.

Among which was when she took a bow in front of Mother Theresa who later on also passed away just one day before the funeral of Lady Diana. It was the response toward a painting called "Snail But Gold",  that undoubtedly now becomes a historical painting,

like a Legacy of the Princess.

Considering that both Lady Diana and Mother Theresa were known for their fond of doing charity, it is now the painter's turn to utilize those painting to make them work for charity to continue the works of Lady Diana and Mother Theresa.

May God helps the painter in accomplishing this duty.

THE PAINTINGS IN WORDS

//////1. "APPROACHING THE DIE, FROG." .This was the beginning. In 1995, a painting was made about an actress named Maudy, a name that sounds like "die" in Indonesian, with a frog in front of her. It was to depict the painters feeling of guilty for not utilizing many good opportunity in this life, that turned out like an own curse to the painter's life. Then Lady Di appeared in the media with rather similar pose to the painting as if she would like to say: "Hey, I am a princess, and my name sounds like "die". Don't you think I can help free you from your own curse ?".

//////2. "SEA DOORAN". When this painting was nearly completed in early 1996, a picture of Lady Diana appeared in the media during her vacation on the sea shore, like the warm fruit in this painting. It is a Durian (read: dooran), a famous exotic fruit in South East Asia that tastes sweet and hot like a sunshiny day on the sea shore.

//////3a. "HIDDEN GOAL", first response. When the title of this painting was settled, Lady Di appeared in the media wearing a sweat shirt with the logo of Virgin Air. In Indonesian, the title's initial is GN that sounds like genie. So with that sweat shirt she seemed like trying to say: "I am not a genie. You are the one who could be a genie, I think. That's why I wear this sweat shirt with the logo of Virgin, an abbreviation of Firman is a genie." What a princess kind of jest.

//////3b. "HIDDEN GOAL", second response. After the outfit of Lady Diana in this painting was changed into a long pant and a sweater with a veil on her head, she appeared in the media wearing Pakistan outfit that somewhat similar to that of the painting.

//////3c. "HIDDEN GOAL", third response. In this painting, one of Lady Diana's leg was not fully shown. Hopefully it means that this painting has contributed to inspire her to involve in the campaign against the using and producing of land mine as shown in her picture at the media whereas she was standing beside the victims of landmine who only have one leg remained.

//////4. THE "D". In the middle of the making of this painting, a reply from Lady Diana's office reached the painter, with the word love inside it. Similar to the heart symbol on the frame behind her in this painting. Followed by her appearance in the media holding a flower similar to her hand in the painting.

//////5. "SNAIL BUT GOLD". During the making of this painting, Lady Diana appeared in the media with a stooping pose similar to her pose in this painting, in front of a famous spiritual figure who later on died just one day before the funeral of Lady Diana. The figure in front of her in this painting is Semar, a famous figure in the traditional puppet show in Indonesia who often gives wise advises.

//////6. "APPETIZER". A female lion was thinking about the bird for an appetizer in this painting. Then a picture of Lady Diana appeared in the media with the logo of Harrods above her head, somewhat similar to the lion with a bird above its head in this painting. Like a caution, that the maker of this painting would become the main meal who knows when.

//////7. "REACHING GOLD FRUIT".  About the former Indonesian first lady helping her husband in picking the "fruit of development" of her country. A picture of Lady Di was placed in this painting to represent significant role of foreigners in the development of Indonesia. On early August 1997 a picture of Lady Diana appeared in the mass media with Bosnian mountains looming in the background just like the mountains in this painting background.

//////8. "BROWN AND WHITE HORSES IN LOVE". Around the middle of 1995 this painting was made. Later on in the middle of 1997, a picture of Lady Diana and Dodi during their vacation appeared in the media with similar position to the horses of this painting. As an Egyptian, Dodi must be rather brown, while Lady Diana certainly white, just like the brown and white horses in this painting.

//////9. "RABBIT CONVERSATION and TIGERS ADMONITION". These were supposed to become two separate paintings, but produced at the same time on a single canvas. Started in 1995, then abandoned to produce other paintings. It was during the finishing of this painting in 1998 that the painter realized its similarities to Lady Di and Dodi's picture during their vacation above a cruise ship. Lady Di's hip was directed toward the camera just like the hip of the white rabbit in the foreground of the left painting. While Dodi's position was similar with the tiger on the right painting.

//////10. "WATCHOUT FOR THE PAPARAZZI". Made on early 1997 without title yet. About several horses running on a sloop with a rabbit jumps to the side avoiding them. Later on after the car accident happened that the painter realized their similarities. Whereas the running horses look like motorcyclist paparazzi who were chasing the car of Lady Diana and Dodi. While the jumping rabbit, like symbolizing the unity of Dodi, who was known as a playboy previously, and Lady Diana who had a white skin like the rabbit.

//////11. The PAIR  A: "CHASING THE AUTOGRAPH". This painting initially was titled "Chasing the Hand Sign" as it depicted Lady Diana sitting in front of unseen person with their four hands shown above a crystal ball, like trying to read her hand sign. The sketch was started on the second week of August 1997, then halted due to lack of her clear and big enough pictures on the painter's collection. It was after the car accident that her pictures appeared so many in the media, and one of it was chosen for this painting. As if she was supporting the making of this painting as her last goodbye to this world.

//////12. The PAIR  B: "SO LONG". After this painting was started in 1996, the painter was busy with other paintings so this one was abandoned. Continued again in 1998 at around May. It was made to become the pair of  the above Pair A  to make the puppet, that is shown only half of its head on the Pair A, shown more complete in this Pair B painting. Especially to those who never know such puppet, the wayang kulit (read: Why-Unk Cool-It).
