PK Fan?

I am a Hiatus fan, before the rookie tournament in August the last Ducks game I went to was on March 12th 1997. (In which coincidentally happened to be against the Detroit red Wings In which we won) Between the ambiguity of High School Sports, My bass guitar and, High School in General. I hated sport. I'd hear a word of the Ducks and perk up but then remember I hated sports (any one who has ever had a class with a sports coach knows what I mean). Called back to the great fandom by the lack of team work by the Ducks rookie team I laughed and found someone to lurk and write about (incidentally I had started to write a Ducks cross over story back in May anyway).
However I found myself in the mist of a controversy. Paul Kariya had left as an Unrestricted Free Agent after the Ducks Didn't qualify him. We had picked up Feds and Prospel by them so it should have died but instead it was festering like Britney and Justin's breakup. Loving Controversy I dive into it.
My feeling on PK first, I could have cared less when pre hiatus. I like Selanne when he played for us, but PK I heard his name to much I guess, I've always had a thing for underdogs and that is what the ducks have always been. So to keep the image in my mind I tuned out PK names. It didn't matter, this was an OC team and I'm an OC girl and The Ultimate fan for whatever fandom I lurk too.
With this controversy I drove into it because I love being a fan and this had obvious hurt the most vocal fans, Even My friend C who had told me about the rookie tournament. As matter of Contract it looks logical that he left. Ana didn't qualify him do he left. But He didn't even sign for a contract that passes at RFA status. Dig deeper. The Ducks had been the WCC last year and had gone done to the last game to lose the cup to the Devils. (WHOA GO UNDERDOGS-sorry momentary lapse in judgment.) Yes, I had known since I started reading articles that they had gone that far reports can't forget anything, however at the WCC parade he promised to be back and to take the Ducks to cup. This is where the fans get upset by July with him walking out on the team he'd been the public face of for 9 years.
Kariya for most people seem to be the Mighty Ducks they don't mention nay one as much as him or how hard it was on him when Selanne left for the Sharks in '01. Since when has a team been about one person let alone the Captain - a speedy little left wing. Something is off when you depend that much one player. And Maybe what I am reading ins hindsight and glorying him to much (it probably is, fans memories or never clear once a play is made).
SO my view on the Little mercenary bitch as some call him, or the traitorous rata s still others call him. Is let it die. HE obviously cared about a friend more then money and about scoring more then defense, Offense isn't the only thing to win a game and maybe he doesn't know this maybe he will learn and maybe he will be back with Anaheim despite this heat seeking nuke the fans have put on him. I would like to see him at the Pond on Dec 16th but if his hurt his hurt. His a player and will play if he can. Let it Die. let Paul Kariya of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks Die. HE may be revived with a new locker but for Now he is Paul Kariya of the Colorado Avalanche (with a very sore wrist) who is trying to play with his Hockey 'soul mate'.

I changed My mind the Haters were right He is back stabbing little rat and Deserves a another Stevens' hit when He is on the Pond ICe. Ok I have since found out taht it is routine to put a bounty up for an ex time but With PK choice to do so it came at a very bad time when the fans levels of tenision were for to high. It was Very POOR CHOICE! One of many he has made since this summer.I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but this just naws at me to much it was low swing at the fans who stood by him until this summer. Fans that would have stood by him as a duck againg but I guess he can't see past an immedite cup. Maybe its s good things this heartless/Fanless player left.
