FOOD AND QUANTITIES AFTER 12 MONTHS AND 3.80ml IN THE BAND

NOTE: These are ideas and do not constitute eating recommendations

BREAKFAST

1/2 to 1 slice of twice baked bread

1 Weetbix and Milk

1 Poached Egg on 1/2 to 1 Slice of Twice Baked Bread

Baked Beans

Spaghetti

Any other breakfast cereal you find easy to eat

LUNCH

1c Soup and 1/2c Yoghurt or Cheesecake (see recipe below)

1 Tbsp cream cheese mixed with fish (eg: Salmon, Tuna etc), finely sliced pickled onion, Gherkin, Tomato etc with Cracker biscuits

Crackers, cheese and fruit

Salad chopped up small with dressing

DINNER

3 Tbsp Vegetables AND 2 Tbsp Mashed Potato or 1/2 Baked Potato, small piece of baked pumpkin or kumera or parsnip AND 1 very small piece of meat (1 1/2 in x 1 1/2 in) with gravy

Pasta with plenty of sauce

Small amount of salad with salad dressing. Cut very small. Use any salad vegetables. If using hard boiled eggs - grate them!

Fried Rice with Vegetables, Fish or Chicken

Lambs Fry made up in a casserole. Very easy meat to digest.

DESSERTS

Egg custards

Lowfat Ice Cream

Rice Pudding or Similar (eg Sago or Tapioca)

Fruit & Jelly (NOT diet)

 

NOTES: Try not to eat too much liquid food. Eat foods that have to be chewed as these take longer to digest and will make you feel full longer.

 

 

CHEESECAKE RECIPE:

1 Jelly (any flavour)

250g Cottage Cheese

Make up jelly with 2 cups of boiling water. Leave to get cold but still liquid. Blend 1/2 the jelly and the cottage cheese in a blender. Add the remainder of the jelly and blend again. Put into a container and refrigerate to set. Cut and eat as required.
