Man I need to get a life. Rebecca thought to herself looking around the apartment that up until three weeks ago she had shared with her best friend Claire.

She jumped at the ringing of the phone.

"Hello?"

"Bec, it's Claire."

"I have nothing to say to you."

"Well I have a lot I want to say to you and I would appreciate if you would listen."

"I don't want to hear it. You've already done enough don't you think?"

"I agree that what I did was wrong and unfair, but can't we somehow get past it?"

"Get past it? Claire you ran off with my boyfriend. The man I loved.....No the man I thought I loved. He's a snake and so are you. I hope you two are very happy together." She said slamming the phone down as the tears welled in her eyes. Hell if she was going to let Claire hear her crying.

I have to get out of this house!!!!

Half and hour later she was dressed in her favorite red dress and on her way to her favorite club.

"Hey Becca." The bartender, Rick called out to her.

"Rick!!!" She yelled back over then noise as she took a seat at the bar.

"The usual?" He asked.

"Yea." She told him as she turned to scan the room.

"One Strawberry Margarita." He said setting the glass in front of her.

"Thanks."

Rick leaned over and rested his arms on the bar. "So, what brings you here on a night like tonight. You lookin to rob the cradle?" He asked her. Referring to the fact that it was 18 plus night.

"Very funny. I'm only 22 ya know."

The bartender laughed wholeheartedly at the comment.

"Besides, I'm a single girl again and in need of a good time."

"A good time?" She turned her head to the strikingly handsome male standing behind her.

"Um hum you offering?" She said sarcastically as she took a sip of her drink.

"Do I sense hostility?" He said playfully.

She had said she was here to have a good time and in her mind she had meant it, but somehow she just didn't feel it. Yet she was almost intrigued by the stranger who had pushed his way into the conversation. Spiked blonde hair, and a gorgeous smile that matched his equally gorgeous green eyes. Yes he is defiantly attractive. She thought to herself.

"Well I guess if you have to think about it I'm somewhat safe."

"What....oh no I'm sorry. I'm usually not this rude to totally strangers."

"Well I'm Lance." He said extending his hand to her.

She returned the gesture. "I'm Rebecca."

"Well it's very nice to meet you Rebecca."

"The pleasure is mine Lance." Man what is it about this guy that makes me feel I have seen him before? He looks so familiar.

"Listen I have to go back to the table with my friends, but if you like you could join us. They can be alittle obnoxious, but they’re good guys." He said pointing to a table in the far right corner of the club.

The minute her eyes caught the men at the table she knew where she had seen Lance before, but she didn't share the realization with him. Hell If I'm gonna tell him that him and his friends faces wallpapered her kids sisters walls.

She took a seat at the table as Lance introduced her.

"This is JC, Joey, Justin and Chris. Guys this is Rebecca."

"Nice to meet you Rebecca." JC said extending his hand to her. The rest followed suit.

"Likewise."

"I'm going to dance who's coming with me?" Justin asked.

No one commented.

"Okay, then I guess I'm flying solo." He said sticking his tongue out at them.

"So, Rebecca what do you do?" Chris asked as soon as Justin was gone.

"I'm attending Law school at Harvard."

"Wow, I'm impressed. Looks like you better keep this one Lance." Joey teased.

Lance felt his cheeks turn color. "I guess." He said without taking his eyes off her.

"I don't know that would be kinda hard with your schedule wouldn't it?"

"Oh no she knows who we are....RUN!!!" Chris said as he pretended to cover his face for protection.

Rebecca couldn't help but laugh. "Man, how could I not. I have three younger sisters at home and your faces grace every inch of their walls. Makes me wonder why my mom even wallpapered their rooms."

"Oh we have a fan amunst us." Justin said as he rejoined the group.

"Okay, I'll admit I have your cd's, but at least I can retain my composure. If my sisters where here you would all be in very grave danger of being pawed to death."

"Bring them on we can take em'" JC said putting his fists up in the air.

They all laughed.

"So, you live in Boston?" Justin asked.

"Yep, born and raised. My parents and sisters live in Braintree."

"Cool, you must like it here then huh?" Joey asked.

"Yea, I love it. So, how about you guys. You like traveling all over the world?"

"Yea, it's great. We miss our families, but it's cool." Lance told her.

"Man, guys we should get back to the hotel it's almost twelve." Justin warned them.

Rebecca stood with them. She knew it was getting late and they probably had to be up early, but she hated to see them go.

"Why don't you come back to the hotel with us. We could just hang out and get to know each other better."Lance said.

"Yea, we don't have to be anywhere till noon tomorrow." JC told her.

Before she could answer Lance had her by the hand and was pulling her out the door.

"Okay I guess."

"Wow this is great." She said walking into the gigantic room.

"It's nice, but it's not home." Chris stated matter of factly.

"Yea, I bet it's tough being away from home all the time. Never seeing your family or friends."

"Okay watch what you say or Justin will start crying." Joey said.

"Very funny you pink headed creep." Justin said leaping onto Joey's back pretending to punch him.

"Hey piss off drool boy."

Lance looked at her and shook his head. "Kids!"

Rebecca was entertained by their playfully name calling. So this is what it's like behind the scenes with Nsync. She thought to herself.

"So, Rebecca I was thinking on the way over here since Lance finally got a date and your sisters are fans maybe you'd want to bring them to the show tomorrow." JC told her.

Lance smiled and rolled his eyes at him. Rebecca could see the red tint in his cheeks again.

"Um yea, I guess that would be cool. My sisters will freak."

"It's okay we're used to it." Justin informed her as he sat down to play a video game with Joey.

Rebecca's eyes scanned the room as everyone went about their own things. Justin and Joey playing their game, While JC flopped into a chair and began to read and Chris had gone to take a shower.

"Well, you wanna go hang out in my room?" Lance asked her.

"Sure. It would be nice to talk without all this noise." She laughed.

"It's really quiet up here." She told him as they entered the room.

"Yea, just don't look outside. We have to rent the whole floor just to keep them at bay." Lance said as he put a CD into the player.

Rebecca peeked through the closed blinds at the mob of screaming girls outside. All too familiar, but you can bet I won't go there again. Not ever.

"Can I get you something to drink?"

She pulled her attention away from the window and back to Lance.

"Um yea, whatever you have is fine."

"Here ya go." He said handing her a Frappucinno.

"Um mocha my favorite." She said taking the coffee from him.

"Maybe tomorrow we can go get some real coffee?"

"I'd like that." She said smiling at him and for the first time feeling her own face turn twenty shades of red.

They sat and talked for hours and by the time she looked at her watch she noticed it was five am!!

"Wow, I should go Lance. It's five in the morning." She told him as she got up off the couch.

"I had a really good time talking to you."

"Me too. I'm going to go home and get some sleep, but maybe after the concert tonight we could get some coffee and go to my place."

"That sounds great.......oh yea speaking of the concert don't forget these." He said handing her and envelope. "I had them throw some backstage passes in there too."

"Thanks a lot Lance. My sisters will be very excited."

"Good, I can't wait to meet them." He took her hand in his and placed a light kiss on it as he opened the door for her.

"I'll see you later."

"Yea, later." She said not being able to take her eyes off of him.

He stood at the door and watched utill she stepped in the elevator and disappeared.

Lance had only been asleep for about an hour when his room was bombarded. He grabbed a pillow and put it over his head to shield it from the eight pairs of eyes that were fixated on him.

You know their not going to leave. He told himself. So he took the pillow off his head and sat up to look at them.

"What?" He questioned the inquisitive eyes that were on him.

"Well....what happened?" JC asked.

"None of your business." Lance said throwing his pillow at him.

"You slept with her didn’t you?" Joey said jumping on the bed next to him.

"You're a pig!!"

"Come on spill it." Joey continued.

"No, I didn't sleep with her. You know I'm not like that Joey!!"

"I know, but maybe that's your problem."

"No, that's your problem, womanizer!"

"I'm not a womanizer. I'm just really nice guy." He defended.

The others watched the bickering from a distance.

"Knock it off Joey." JC told him.

Joey obediently got off the bed.

"We'll leave you alone for now, but we want details man." Justin told him.

"Yea, yea, yea. Now get out of my room so I can shower."

"You're lying!!!!" Amy shouted at her sister.

"No, I'm not. If I was lying then how would I have gotten these? You know they don't just hand out backstage passes to just anyone. Didn't you learn that from Jay?"

"I can't believe this, I can't believe this." Casey said as she started to hyperventilate.

"Breath Case." Rebecca told her.

"We are actually going to meet Nsync." Ashley said in total amazement.

"Yea, and their really excited to meet you guys." Rebecca told them.

"What does Justin look like in person?" Amy asked wanting to know every detail.

"I guess you'll find out soon enough."

"No, tell me now!!" She threatened.

"Well let's just say the million pictures you have on your walls do him no justice." She said as Amy ran from the room screaming.

"I have to call everyone I know."

"Me too." Ashley said following her sister upstairs.

Rebecca walked into the living room and saw Casey sitting on the couch staring at the wall.

"What's wrong Case?"

"Nothing. I'm calm I'm cool, but the minute I'm alone I'm gonna freak!!"

Rebecca didn't try to hide her amusement.

"I can't believe I'm going to meet Nsync!!"

"Yea, I can't wait to see the look on your face when you see JC face to face."

"Oh god!!" She said jumping up from the couch and leaving the room.

Rebecca almost had the same feeling when she thought of Lance. He made her feel like a teenager. This is crazy. I barely even know him and the mear thought of him makes my insides melt. Oh god, I've turned into my sisters!!

She shook her head as the doorbell pulled her from her thoughts.

"Lance! What are you doing here.....Better yet how did you find me?" She said letting him in.

"It was easy actually. I paid some guy at the college fifty bucks to give me your address and when you weren't there your neighbor gave me the address here."

"Wow, now I'm the one who's impressed."

"I just came by to see if maybe your sisters have some friends who want to come to the show tonight. None of our family can make it tonight so we have like six more tickets and backstage passes left over and I'd hate to see them go to waste."

"Oh Lance I'm sorry no one could come. I bet you’re disappointed."

"Yea, we are, but that's how it goes. So, you think you can use them?" He asked.

"Oh I'm sure it won't be a problem." She laughed.

"Cool. Well I gotta run. I have to be at rehearsal in like twenty minutes, but I guess I'll see you tonight."

"Absolutely."

"K, bye Bec."

"Bye Lance."

Man, what is it about her? I can't think about anything else. All right Bass, get ahold of yourself she's only a girl and a girl you hardly know at that.

At six o'clock Rebecca piled the nine giddy, jabbering girls into her parents minivan and drove to the concert and as they waited in line to get in she shared the girls excitement. It has only been a few hours, but she found herself thrilled to see Lance again.

They guys put on a wonderful show and she as they made their way backstage Rebecca felt the same nervousness and excitement that the nine teenagers did.

Just as they passed security he caught sight of her.

"Bec!"

"Lance!" She yelled back as he motioned for them to follow.

"I was beginning to wonder where you were." He said.

"It's a madhouse out there. We had a rough time getting in, but I guess you already knew that."

"Welcome to our life." He said laughing. "The guys are in here."

"Rebecca." They said in unison.

"Man, you guys are nsync on and off the stage."

"And who are these beautiful little ladies?" Justin asked as he laid a kiss on Rebecca's cheek.

"These are my sisters Amy, Casey and Ashley and their friends Cammy, Trish, Trina, Missy, Kaylee and Shannon and let me do the honors."

"Amy, Trish, Trina this is Justin. Casey, Cammy this is JC. Missy,Ashley this is Joey. Kaylee this is Chris and Shannon this is Lance. There now that I have them with their respective men let the drooling begin." She didn't attempt hide her amusement as she laughed outloud.

Rebecca observed how wonderful each of them were with the girls. They signed autographs, had pictures taken and answered countless questions, but soon Rebecca's attention turned to Lance who was sitting in a chair talking to Shannon and when he looked up he met her gaze and smiled and Rebecca had been totally unprepared for what his gesture did to her stomach.

He’s incredible and if I didn't know better I'd say perfect, but I know all about the life he leads. The thought brought back a flood of memories. She remembered doing this very thing not so long ago when Jordan was on tour. The screaming girls. The endless crowds. The lack of privacy. It was a life that she knew she had never wanted, but that didn't make the fact that Jordan had been cheating on her with her best friend any easier. No, the life of a teen sensation, sex symbol's girlfriend was definitely not something she cared to pursue again. Even thought Lance seemed sincere and she really liked him she knew that temptation was all too easy. After Jordan had left she found a ton of letters from girls everywhere all saying basically the same thing. That man had left a trail of broken hearts all over the world. I will never be that naive again. She promised herself that.

Just then there was a knock on the door and Rebecca's heart dropped to her feet when she saw the head that popped through the door.

"Hey Jordan. Great show." JC told him.

"That's just what I came to tell you guys."

"Thanks man. It's a true honor to be on tour with you." Lance told him.

As Jordan turned his attention to Lance his eyes met Rebecca's, but he didn't say a word and to Rebecca's relief neither did any of her sisters.

"Well I gotta get home." He said his eyes barely leaving hers.

"Later man." They guys told him.

Three hours later she packed the girls up.

"So I'll see you later then?"

"Yea, I'm gonna go to the hotel and shower and then I'll be there." He said leaning closer to her and kissing her on the cheek.

"I'll right. I'll see you then." She told him as he shut the door for her.

"Are you and Lance dating?" Amy asked after they started to pull away.

"Honey, I only met him last night. Why would you ask?"

"I saw him kiss you." She stated matter of factly

"He kissed all of you on the cheek."

"Yea, but it was the way he looked at you when he did it. I think he likes you." Casey told her.

"Well I like him too, but we are just friends." I can't believe I am sitting here defending myself to a bunch of teenagers.

"Good because I'm gonna marry him someday." Shannon stated from the backseat.

Rebecca smiled. "Ah out of the mouth of a tweleve year old."

By the time she got all of the girls home it was nearly 11:30 and Lance was waiting by her door.

"Oh Lance I hope you haven't been waiting long."

"Not really. Did the girls get home okay?"

"Yes and thank you for tonight. They will definitely be the center of attention at school on Monday." She told him.

"I'm glad we could do it for them. We like to keep the fans happy....and the non-fans too for that matter." He said giving her a knowing look.

"Hey I never said I wasn't a fan!" She defended.

"Maybe not, but you don't look at me like my nine year old fans do. As a matter of fact no girls my age do."

"I find that pretty hard to believe. Maybe it's the boy band rep."

He looked at her in total confusion and she almost kicked herself for letting that slip.

"Boy band rep?"

"I'm sorry. It's nothing personal."

"I think I might know. It's about Jordan isn't it?"

"What!! How do you know about that?"

"I overheard Casey tell JC that you and him used to be engaged."

If she could have chosen anytime to crawl under a rock it would have been then. How was she going to explain this one to him? She couldn't lie considering she didn't know exactly how much Casey had told JC or how much Lance had overheard.

He didn't say anything as he waited for her to answer.

"Yea, we were engaged." She told him. Her voice barely above a whisper.

"You want to talk about it?" He said as he took a seat next to her on the couch.

Rebecca got up and went to the kitchen to make some coffee and Lance followed close behind.

"Well?"

"Lance, I barely know you and I feel it would be pretty tacky for me to start pouring my relationship problems out to you."

"Why? Rebecca, I'm your friend and you can trust me."

She looked into the green eyes that had become so familiar and comforting and for whatever reason she honestly believed him.

"Three weeks ago I came home from school to grab some lunch and found him in bed with my roommate and now ex-best friend and to top it all off I found a bunch of letters soon after confirming my fear that Claire wasn't the only girl he was cheating on me with." She turned back to the stove so he wouldn't see the tears that were falling freely down her face.

"Bec, I'm sorry. I feel like an ass for the way I must have sounded talking to him tonight."

"Don't be Lance. He is on your tour and it's okay that you are friends with him. Don't let my feelings get in the way of that."

"Too late. Now that I know what happened I can honestly say that I have lost total respect for him." He stopped for a moment to get up the courage to ask the question.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure." She said wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Is that why you don't like me?"

"I like you!"

"You know what I mean."

"Lance, it's the same life. It's the same everything." She didn't feel like having this conversation, but she knew there was no getting out of it now.

"Maybe, but one things not."

"And what's that?"

"I'm not Jordan."

"No, you're not, but it's the same situation. The crowds of girls, the fancy hotels, the lonely nights."

"Don't categorize me. Ask the guys how many girls I’ve taken to my hotel room and they will tell you none. Why do you think they gave me so much grief last night?"

"I don't know. I guess I figured it was all part of the game."

"What game? I'm not playing any games with you Rebecca. What you see is what you get. No suprises."

"I want to believe you Lance and maybe in time I will......."

He cut her off. "Let's not worry about that now. I have a favor to ask you."

"What?"

"Ashley told me that you are a wonderful artist and I wanted to ask you if you'd sketch me?"

"Yea, I guess. Here take your coffee and go to the living room and I'll go get my stuff."

A few minutes later she came back to find him in the chair by the window. His arms wrapped around one of his legs.

"Good now rest your chin on your knee."

"Yes, mam."

For the next hour she sketched away. Having a hard time concentrating or her work instead of her subject.

"Done." She said handing him the sketchpad so he could examine her work.

"An artist and a Harvard law student. Very impressive. You do great work."

"Thank you. It's easy to do good work when your subject is easy on the eyes."

He walked over to her and put his arms around her waist.

"I want you to keep this drawing and look at it while I'm gone. I don't ever want you to forget me."

"Not possible....so when do you leave?" She could feel the ache rush through her body when she asked the question.

"Tomorrow morning." He said sadly.

"Um too bad. I thought maybe I could show you some of the sights."

"Next time, but hey I had a thought earlier."

"Oh and what was that?" At the moment she didn't care. She wished he would leave, so she could be alone. She hated long good-byes. Especially ones that could be forever.

"We are going down to Cancun to do MTV Spring Break and I was thinking maybe you could meet us down there. It' only three weeks away." She didn't answer. "Well what do you think?"

"I wish I could, but my family always goes to Florida over spring break. It's kind of a tradition."

"Okay, well I just thought I would suggest it."

"Lance I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I understand." He said the words but she knew by the look on his face that he was disappointed.

"Well, I'd better go. We have an early flight." He said as he headed for the door.

"Alright, but will you call me?"

"Yea, sure."

She got a piece of paper and jotted down some numbers.

"The first one is here, this one is my parents and this one is my cell phone."

"Great. Well I'm outta here." He said leaning over giving her a hug and a light kiss on the cheek.

"Bye Lance."

"Bye Rebecca."

"What's wrong Lance?" JC asked when he returned to the hotel.

"Did you ask her?" Joey wondered.

"Yea, I asked her."

"And from the look on your face I'd say she said no?" Chris asked.

"You got it!"

"She said no?!" Justin asked in total disbelief.

"That's what I said wasn't it?" Lance answered unable to hide the tension in his voice.

He couldn't take their sympathetic looks so he went to his room.

A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. It was JC.

"Man, I'm sorry."

"It's alright."

"Did you ask her about Jordan?"

"Yea, I guess he screwed her over pretty bad. That girl he was with the other day is Rebecca's best friend."

"Claire? You're kidding me?"

"No, I'm not. Rebecca walked in on them together in bed."

"Oh man, harsh."

"Tell me about it. Now I have to go the rest of this tour trying to be nice to him when deep down all I really want to do it pound the shit out of him!!"

"I understand that, but aside from that he's a pretty decent guy Lance."

"I know. I'm just mad that because of him I have no chance with her."
"You really like her don't you?"

"Yea, I do."

It had been two weeks since Lance and the guys had left and every night Rebecca took out her sketchbook and ran her fingers down the picture she had sketched of him. Oh Lance. I wish so bad that we could be together, but I can't take the chance of being hurt by you.

She couldn't count the number of times he had called. She hadn't returned any of them. Even so everyday when she came home from class there were new ones. Today when she came home she almost didn't listen to them, but reluctantly she pushed the play button

Beep....Bec it's Lance. If you're there please pick up. I don't know why you won't return my calls, but I really want to talk to you. I miss you.....Beep......Becky this is mom. There are three more messages on the machine from Lance. Honey why won't you talk to him? Call me....... Beep........Becca um....it's JC. I'm calling about Lance. He really misses you, so I'm calling to see if you'll reconsider coming down to Cancun for spring break. You got my cell number call me.....Beep.

When the messages quit playing the phone rang again. She let the machine get it. Becky it's mom again......She picked up the phone.

"Hi mom."

"Screening your calls?"

"Not really. What's up?"

"Why don't you come for dinner. Your dad and I have something for you."

"Okay, give me a minute to change and I'll be on my way." She said hanging up the phone.

They’re up to something.

"Hello? Mom? Dad?" She yelled through the house.

"Out back."

She walked to the patio door and stepped onto the deck. Her sisters were in the pool with their friends and her father was standing at the grill cooking hamburgers and steaks.

"Where's mom?" She asked giving her father a kiss.

"Oh she ran to the store for more pop. Does it look like they need it?" He said laughing as he pointed to the girls tearing in and out of the pool.

"No, definitely not." She told him as she walked to the edge of the pool.

"Beccaaaaaaaa!!" Ashley squealed when she caught sight of her.

"Hey sis. How's the water?"

"Since it’s been so nice it’s really warm."

"No, it's warm cause you peed in it." Casey teased as she grabbed the beachball away from her.

"Ha ha ha so funny."

"Come in with us Becca." Shannon told her.

"Not now Shann I'm gonna go talk to my mom and dad."

Rebecca made her way to the kitchen when she heard her mom pull in.

"Hey mom. Here let me help." She said taking a grocery bag from under her arm.

"Thanks honey. Those girls had requests a mile long."

"And that suprises you?" She said laughing.

"Not really. Every slumber party is the same way." She smiled." Come outside we have something for you." She followed her mom outside as requested.

"Okay what's up you two?"

Her dad pulled out an envelope and handed it to her. "Here this is yours."

She opened it assuming it was her plane ticket to Florida, but instead of Florida it was to Cancun.

"What's this?" She knew what is was, but she didn't understand why.

"It's a plane ticket to Cancun. Lance has a room reserved for you already so you're ready to go."Her dad told her.

"What do you mean Lance? When did you talk to him?"

"A few days ago. He's a wonderful guy Becky and I don't know why you don't see that. He isn't Jordan honey." Her mom told her.

"You sound just like him. Mom, I've been there and I don't want to do it again."

Her mom and dad sat on each side of her.

"Becky, don't live the rest of your life based on what Jordan did to you. Give Lance a fair shot."

"I just don't know if I can handle all that again. Juggling school and work is bad enough let alone another boyfriend who's never around."

"Well summer vacation starts soon and we keep begging you to quit that job you hate so much. So why not take the summer off and go on tour with him?" Her dad suggested.

"What?"

"It's pretty obvious to us that he really cares about you and you need to get your head out of the ground long enough to see the good thing that is right in front of you."

"Mom, I barely know him. I spent two days with him and now you're telling me to go to Cancun and drop everything to go on tour with him. Why?"

"Because you're 22 years old and you don't take advantage of it. You have spent every spring break with us and we just think it's time you start having more fun. Get out. See the world. This would give you an opportunity to do that not to mention time to really get to know Lance before you let him drop out of existence." Her dad said getting up to tend to the grill.

"So are you gonna go see Lance in Cancun?" Casey asked grabbing a handful of chips and sitting down at the table.

She looked at her mother, who had an encouraging smile on her face.

"I guess I am."

"Cool. Tell JC I say hi. I wish I could go with you." She said scarfing down the last of her chips.

"You'll have plenty of time to get to know JC. Even if Nsync splits tomorrow they will always be my friends."

"That's good information to know. So I guess this means you're going to Cancun huh?" Amy said coming up from the pool with the rest of the girls.

"What did you tell all of them?" Rebecca questioned.

"Of course. We had to in case our plan didn't work and we needed them for blackmail." He dad said winking at the girls.

A week later Rebecca was on a plane to Mexico. In a matter of hours she would see Lance again. She had called JC and told him she was coming, but not to tell Lance. She wanted to suprise him. So JC had agreed to pick her up at the airport.

Even with his hat and glasses she spotted him right away.

"Nice disguise JC."

"Not one of my best but it usually does the job." He laughed as he reached out and gave her a hug.

"Let's get out of here. Those girls over there don't seem to be fooled." She said grabbing him by the hand and running to the car.

"It's good to see you." She said once they had made it to safety.

"You too Becca, but I know someone who is going to be happier to see you."

"I hope so."

"Hope so? Good god women. We were about ready to get on a plane to Boston, kidnap you and bring you down here out of utter fear that Lance was near death of a broken heart."

"You're so dramatic." She laughed.

"I am not being dramatic dear." He said as the car pulled up to the hotel and they got out. "You just wait and see."

JC brought her to the room they had reserved for her and told her to wait there while he went to talk to Lance.

Rebecca watched out the patio door of her room and saw JC join Lance by the side of the pool.

He is so beautiful. She thought to herself. Even with his back to her she could almost see the hurt in his eyes.

"He's been like that since we left Boston."

"Oh Justin you scared me."

He and Chris stood there in total silence.

"He looks so sad."

"He is and you my dear are responsible." Chris teased.

"How could he be so upset when I had only known him for two days?"

"I don't know how, but you got to him and that's never happened to him before." Justin told her.

"What do you mean?"

"Honestly? I think he's in love with you."

"Come on Chris do you really think that's possible?"

"Don't you read our interviews?"

"Sorry I must have missed that one." She said trying to hide her smile.

"Here they come. Shhhh." Justin said putting a finger to his lips.

"Come on JC. I don't need to see anything. A room is a room and unless Rebecca changed her mind we might as well let the desk know the room is free."

The sound of his voice made her heart leap. She still couldn't believe the effect he had on her.

"Will you just go in."

"Alright, but when we get back to the states I'm gonna find you a shrink."

"If you don't stop moping around your the one who's gonna need a shrink, buddy now go."

The minute Lance opened the door his jaw dropped open.

"Bec...What....when?" He couldn't make his mouth work to get the words out.

"It doesn't matter. I'm here isn't that good enough?"

"Come on guys let's leave them alone." JC said as he motioned them out and shut the door.

"I can't believe you're here. What about you family and Florida?"

"They changed their minds. They thought I should come here with you instead."

"I hoped you come." He said taking her into his arms.

"I wasn't even sure I would until I got on the plane and admitted to myself how much I missed you."

"I've missed you too."

"So do you have to be somewhere?"

"No we don't start up till Thursday so I have a couple days to kill. Why you got something in mind?"

"I thought maybe you might want to spend sometime with me."

"I'd love that." He said pulling her to him as close as he could and placing his lips on hers.

She realized in that moment that he had never kissed her on the mouth before.

"Was that okay?" He asked her when they finally broke.

"It was more than okay so I hope you won't stop there."

He put his forehead on hers and looked deep into her eyes.

"What are you thinking?" He asked her.

"I'm thinking about you, naked and in that bed."

"That's funny I was just thinking about you, naked and in that bed."

"Well then let's stop thinking about it."

"You don't need to tell me twice, baby."

"I hope not." She told him as he again brought his mouth down on hers.

"I love you Becca. I know that sounds crazy, but I have never ever felt like this before. I was sure I would die when I thought that I would never see you again. I felt so empty."

"I feel it too Lance. I love you and I will never let my pride come between us again."

"You and me forever?"

"Forever."
