Merry Meet Here within the thin walls of cyber space I have found a home, a place to devote to the Lady who so devoted Herself to me. That is our Dark Mother, the Lady Hecate. Here I will share my love and understanding of the Mystress of Darkness, what She means to me and what She means to us all. How she is feared and hated and how She is worshiped and adored. So come in, if you dare. Only the wonderous mysteries of night await your entrance! |

Hecate has a long and traveled history, more so than any other ancient God. It is rumored that She first appeared in ancient Sumeria as the Goddess of Death and Magik. From there She came to the people of Egypt as Hekat and to the Norse as Hel. Finially She made Her way to Greece where She started as the daughter of the Titans Perses and Asteria. But then in later legend Zuse adopted Hecate as his own daughter. Hecate is one of the few Gods to have dominion over the sky's, the Earth and the Underworld. She is the Queen of the dead, the Sorceress of night and the Judge at crossroads. She inspires fear in the hearts of the weak but in the hearts of the strong, She grants an open door to the mysterious font of knowledge that She holds within. |
On nights when the moon is as black as the Midnight sky and the shroud of magik surrounds you be still and listen, for this is the time of the Great Lady Hecate! Alone at night with Her black hounds of darkness She travles. Carring a torch in each hand, lighting the way through the darkness, looking for Her children of the night, Hecates Witches. Hecates Witches were all chosen by the Great Goddess Herself to follow Her on the path of mysteries and dark knowledge. These Children of Hecate are both male and female and are of all ages and backgrounds. What they all have in common is the touch of this most divine Goddess. The path of a Hecatean Witch is not an easy one or a boring one for that matter. She demands little but give much to those who fear Her not. Our way is a way of balance, balance of all things light and dark good and evil. Our teachings are the knowledge of the Universe contained in Her stary eyes. She offers us neither power nor glory but only the dark mysteries that are Her being. Her love and Her anger span the whole of reality and it is to this we pledge our lives. |
