My husband wrote this prose to me and
I thought it was so beautiful, that I wanted to share it.
For My Darling Wife Lynda
'The Night Sky'
As I sat and watched the sun slowly setting, I could see
the stars starting to glow faintly. And then they became
brighter as the darkness decended around me. Still
watching I saw a shooting star streak across the night
sky. I began thinking about how much our lives are like
that shooting star. We appear in an instant, travel on a
fast journey that is called life and are gone. It is the
journey that is the most important part. The
unfortunate are those who have to travel it alone. When
two people are lucky enough to meet and to share the
trip together, life has meaning to it. They face the
challenges of the uncertain world together. Since the
day we met, I can think of no one else I would rather
make that journey with. When we walk together, our
hands touching lightly, I can feel the love and warmth
that is coming from our hearts. And when our lips touch
I can feel the passion that comes from deep within us.
But most important is when we say the three most
powerful words on earth "I Love You". When I hear and
speak these words I know that no matter which of life's
obstacles are put before us we will be able to overcome
them. For those three words when spoken from deep
within the heart and soul, give a strength that will never
faulter. So my darling, the next time you look into the
night and see a star shooting across the Heavens, know
that like it, our love also soars across "The Night Sky".
I Love You Jim
