Often times, we worry about
a lot of things, asking God why things we prayed for don't come, or why
certain things happen to us.
Why me? is the question I often
ask God...why me..
I often worry about a lot of things,
refusing to let go and let God take control. I still do worry now, but
I am slowly letting go, allowing God to take control and give me the peace
I need.
"He hath made everything beautiful
in His Time." Ecclesiates 3:11
How very true..and how very often
we forget that God is the one in control and He will slowly reveal His
plans to us.
I am still looking for answers
to why certain things happen to me, but I know God is also slowly revealing
His plans to me in His own time.
Here is an e-mail I got which I
found to be quite meaningful.
Take time to read through this page
and reflect upon your life. Don't feel upset about what you have
been through, because God will give you the strength to go through all
the trials you face in life.
Give thanks instead of worrying.
If we count our blessings in life, we probably have no time to worry at
all.
Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow
There are two days in every week
about which we should not worry,
two days which should be kept free
from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is Yesterday
with all its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches
and pains.
Yesterday has passed forever beyond
our control.
All the money in the world cannot
bring back Yesterday.
We cannot undo a single act we
performed;
we cannot erase a single
word we said.
Yesterday is gone forever.
The other day we should not worry
about is Tomorrow
with all its possible adversities,
its burdens,
its large promise and its poor
performance;
Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate
control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise,
either in splendor or behind a
mask of clouds, but it will rise.
Until it does, we have no stake
in Tomorrow,
for it is yet to be born.
This leaves only one day, Today.
Any person can fight the battle
of just one day.
It is when you and I add the burdens
of those two awful eternities
Yesterday and Tomorrow that we
break down.
It is not the experience of Today
that drives a person mad,
it is the remorse or bitterness
of something which happened Yesterday
and the dread of what Tomorrow
may bring.
Let us, therefore, Live but one
day at a time.
