10th October

Our new site is now live click here, thanks to Richard for doing the new site.  This means that this site will no longer be updated so go to the new site for all up-to-date info, see you all soon.

30th August

The site has been neglected a bit recently – apologies to anyone who relies on this sanctuary of knowledge and information about the Kutosis.  There is a reason for the slacking and that is that we are going to be starting a new site with someone who knows what they are doing and the site will actually look quite professional hopefully and not like this one.  When it is up, which won’t be long hopefully it’ll be posted here so you’ll all know.  In other news we had to cancel a gig in Cardiff earlier in the month due to Kevin being ill, next gig now is on Monday at the Barfly so get yo’ asses down to Cardiff as it’ll be a good show.

22nd July

Sorry for the lateness of any news but been quite busy, anyhoo, we’ve got more gigs in Merthyr at the Merthyr Rising festival with some top Welsh bands on the bill, I think we’re on at 2.15 but it’s free so it’s a bargain!  Also we are playing the Barfly in Cardiff doors are at 7pm and were onstage at 9.20pm, there are some more gigs in the pipeline so check back soon.

11th July

It’s been a good week for us; first the Merthyr gig went pretty good despite going on ridiculously early and having the competition fixed (probably).  Secondly, Le Pub in Newport was probably the best gig so far.  After turning up for sound check we were told that the headline band, The Sugarhouse, had to pull out.  This meant that we had the night to ourselves and it ended up being our first headline show.  The set was a bit improvised at the end but we really enjoyed especially the new song ‘Bionic Man’ and a dedication to our housemate Martyn – ‘The Martyn Jayne Blues’.  Just had news as well of our next gig which will take place in the Barfly, Cardiff on Monday September 1st, details are to follow so check the gig guide.  There should be pictures up soon as well as soon as I can get to grips with the digital camera!

4th July

Phew! We’ve got another last minute gig at R&M’s Rock Club in Merthyr, on Tuesday 8th July, as part of a battle of the bands competition.  All entrants have their set recorded and then each have a song put onto a compilation CD and the winning band gets free recording time, which is nice.  Then it’s Thursday night at Le Pub in the ‘Port, we’ll be onstage at 9.15pm and the ‘Kutosis E.P.’ will be on sale as well.  We’re off now to start our rigorous exercise regime in preparation for the busy week ahead.

28th June

The recording of the demo CD went really well and was easier than expected, copies are on sale and are available at all our forthcoming gigs so check the gig guide to see where we are playing.

20th June

We’re going into the recording studio on 23rd and 24th June to record a 3-track demo, were hoping to have copies on sale at future gigs.  Tracks are going to be Real Intentions, Undignified and My Akrasia.  Waiting for the photos from the Toucan gig but they should be up on the site in the next few weeks so check back soon.

9th June

Exams are over for Ian and Me so we can finally concentrate on the band.  Practice has started with Rich which have been going pretty good, look out for more gigs soon.

18th May

Thanks to everyone who came along to the first gig we had a really good reaction from the crowd and it all went pretty well.  With the first gig done we can announce the next one which is in Newport Le Pub on 10th July.  Sadly we have to let current drummer Jazz-Man James go as he has to concentrate all his efforts in Shrewsbury where no doubt he’ll be trying to perform so sort of wizardry during the summer to help his home team to gain promotion next year.  We’d like to thank him for his commitment over the past 6 months or so and especially for the gig at the Toucan.  Like the Stereophonics say you’ve got to go there to come back, (hopefully they’ll get lost on the way),  well after going into the darkest depths of Cardiff’s drumming community we’ve come back with a replacement, Rich, who’ll be attempting to convince us of the values of a double bass pedal over the coming weeks.
