The guys burst through the door making a scene like usual. Justin at the head of the crowd made his way down the hall. he stopped at his locker and opened it. He pulled out a few books and closed his locker. He looked over and saw that at the next bunch of lockers Emily stood at her locker and pulled out two books. She closed her locker and turned to walk away. Chris and Joey who had started to horse around moved out in front of her. Chris pushed Joey and Joey bumped into her. her books fell to the floor in a clatter. Justin made his way over and bend down picking up one of the books. She looked at him nervously as she bent down and picked up the other.
"Sorry about that my friends get out of hand sometimes." justin smiled looking into her hazel eyes.
"It's okay." She said timidly as she took the book from his hand.
"I'm Justin." he smiled
"Emily." She said tucking her hair behind her ear and standing up.
"Are you new here?" he asked
"yeah sort of." she said looking around them.
"i'll see you around I guess." Justin smiled
"thank." she said quietly before walking away. Justin watched as she shifted between the crowds of people. Justin jumped when he felt a hand land on his shoulder.
"Got your eye on that one huh?" Josh smiled
"Stop." Justin said rolling his eyes and turning to go back to his locker.
"Oh come on." josh said
"Where are we going?" Justin asked with a sly grin.
"SO you like her huh?" Josh asked
"I don't even know her." Justin replied as he grabbed the remaining books and shoved them into his bookbag. He shoved his letterman jacket into the locker and slammed it shut.
"Leave her alone." Justin said turning to Josh knowing that he might say or do something to her.
"Oh come on you know me I wouldn't do anything." josh said
"Yeah right!" Justin said making his way down the hall.
"Much." Josh smiled as he stuffed his jacket into the locker besides Justin's. He turned to Chris and raised his eyebrow.
"What?" Chris asked
"I want you to find out about that new girl." Josh smiled
"Why?" Chris asked confused
"Just do it." Josh said before walking down the hall.

Chris dropped a note on Josh's desk. Josh unrolled it and read it.
"So she's from Minnesota." josh smiled
"Yeah got that from Betty. Goddamn gossip that's what she is." Chris laughed
"What else?" Josh whispered
"Well she's single and I dunno what else do you want?" Chris asked
"Where does she live?" Josh asked
"I'll get that by lunch>" Chris replied
Justin sat in his chair and stared over at Emily's back. her brown hair was up today in a clip. The bell rang and he picked up his books and headed to the door.
"Yo Betty!" Come ova here!" Chris yelled once he reached the hallway.
"Chris what do you want now?" She cried walking up to him.
"You know that girl I was asking about earlier?" he said
"yeah." She replied snapping her gum and twirling her hair.
"Well do you know where she lives?" Chris asked
"Why are you interested?" She asked
"Not me." Chris said
"Dunno I'll find it out for you and tell you at lunch." she said before walking away.
Justin sat at his desk tapping his pen on the tabletop. Emily wasn't in this class so he had nothing to occupy his time. Forty more minutes until lunch. Unfortunately this was chemisty and he had failed this last year so he need to pass it to graduate.
"Mr. Timberlake would you demonstrate for us." the teacher asked
Justin slid out from his desk and walked up to the teacher's lab table. Justin began to pour the different chemical in.
"No not that!" The teacher yelled but Justin had dropped it in. The formula began to bubble and then smoke rose out of it and then it exploded. Justin fell back and looked at it in shock. A stench began to fill the room. The students began to couch and the teacher instructed them to leave the classroom. Justin grabbed his books and bag and walked out of the room. After five minutes of apologizing he was let off the hook. He strolled down to his locker laughing. A few other students in the class complimented him on his dismissal of their class.
"So Emily are you going to join the Sciene club?" A weazy voice asked
"I'm not sure." She said shrugging her shoulders and turning to her locker.
"Alright talk to you later." The person said before walking away. Justin closed his locker and walked over to her. She looked at him.
"It's social suicide if you join." he smiled
"Then I'll do it anyway." She said looking into her locker.
"So you don't care what people think of you?" he asked
"No." She replied
"Where are you going now?" he asked
"Lunch but you wouldn't have known or remembered that." she replied closing her locker,
"No I remembered just asked anyway." he smiled
"Oh." She said starting to walk down the hall. Justin walked up beside her.
"Are you running from me?" he laughed
"No I just had homework to do and I was going to do it during lunch." She replied
"Oh alright then I'll talk to you later." he said walking into the lunchroom. She walked over to her table and dropped her books down onto it. Justin strolled over to his and there was a tray of food waiting for him.
