Justin jogged out of the school happily. Today had gone pretty well and tonight would too. He'd just have to figure a way to get Emily out of the house.
"Hey!" Emily smiled as he walked up to her.
"Let's go." he smiled taking her hand.
She immediately became nervous and took her hand back wiping it on her jeans because she began to sweat.
"Alright, so about tonight?" Justin asked
"I dunno Justin, I mean my grandma won't go for it and my dad isn't home to okay it." She said frowning.
"Well how about your mom?" justin asked
"Emily became quiet.
"My mom isn't around." She said in a low voice.
"I'm sorry Emily." Jusitn said feeling guilty.
"My dad said she got sick suddenly. I just think she didn't want to stick around."Emily sighed
"I didn't mean to bring her up." Jusitn said
"No it's okay. I dunno why I take it so badly. She just didn't love us enough to stay so she left. That's all."
"No there had to be a reason. She had to of loved you." Justin said staring at her. Emily shrugged her shoulder.
"Anyway. LIke I said tonight is not a good idea.' She sighed
"Can't you just sneak out." he smiled
"Oh no!"
"Oh come on Em! Our relationship depends on this." Justin pleaded
"Our relationship? Look this is way too much!" she cried
"All I'm asking is that you come out tonight. I swear Emily if you do this no more afterwads."
"Fine. This is my window throw a pebble at it when you come. " she said pointing up to the window.
"I'll be here at eight. Be ready." he said walking away.
He had gotten a block away when Viki's convertible pulled up to him.
"Hey Justin! Are you coming to my party tomorrow?" she asked
"I dunno I gues."
"So what's this I hear about a girlfriend?"
"yeah her name is Emily." Justin said with a broad smile
"Bring her too. I expect you to be there." Viki said with a little resentment in her voice as she drove off.
"Oh shit." Justin mumbled as he walked up to his house. There was no way Emily would do this again.
By 8 o'clock justin was outside her window throwing pebbles. Finally, she opened the window and leaned out.
"hey!" Justin half whisper yelled.
She threw her leg over the ledge and reached out for the tree branch outside her window. Justin watched as she slowly climbed down. He put his hands to her back helping her down. Loosing her grip she fell back. They hit the ground with a thud. Emily was lying across Justin's chest who was sprawled out.
"Uh I'm sorry>" She said scrambling off of him. Somehow she ended up with her knee between his legs and her one hand over his shoulder looking down at him. Not being able to control himself Justin sat up and pulled her into him. His lipsgrazed against hers. She pulled away quickly and looked at him shocked and confused.
"we should go before my granmother hears us." she said standing up.
"Yeah." justin said getting up and sighing heavily at his failure.
They walked into the burger shack and everyone greeted them,
"I dunno I feel out of place." Emily whispered as she sat down at the table
"No you fit in. The guys love you." Justin smiled
Everyone sat around laughing and joking around. Then walked in Josh and his crew of jocks. he'd been thrown out of the main group and so now he recruited the other half of the football team. Carter stood at his side smiling. Chris, Joey, and Lance got up from their seats and stared at the new group.
"We're here to eat so take a seat." Josh said brushing past them. He looked over his shoulder at Emily and smiled. She looked down at her hands nervously. Justin glared at josh who quickly looked away.
"Don't." emily said to justin
"I'm not." Justin replied taking her hand.
"I have to go to the bathroom." She whispered
"okay." He smiled letting go of her hand.
She got up from her seat and walked toward the bathroom. She was outside the bathroom when she heard footsteps coming her way. She ran inside the bathroom and closed the door backing away from it as it opened.
"This is the girl's bathroom." She said frightened
"Oh, oh well." Josh said stepping in and closing the door.
"please..." She said backing away.
"What's wrong Emily?" he asked stepping toward her.
"Don't." She said
"Don't what? Do this?" he asked pushing her up against the mirror.
"Please." She said in tears.
"Please what, do this?" He asked as his hands slid down her shoulders and then to her hips as he licked his lips. She was beginning to cry harder now. She struggled to push him off but he forced her back against the mirror.
"Look at yourself." he said turning her to face the mirror. He held her arms behind her back.
"Look at the mess you are. Do you really think that Justin wants you? Out of all the girls he could have, golden boy doesn't want you. But I do." he whispered into her ear with his hot breath stinging her neck. Tears rolled down her cheeks.
"hey Emily! Are you okay? You didn't fall in did you!" Justin laughed as he walked in. He stood there in shock and then rage over took him. Josh released Emily quickly and reacted to Justin's charge at him. Emily fell to the floor crying. The guys heard the commotion and ran to help Jusitn out. Justin bent over Josh and slammed his fist into Josh over and over again before the guys pulled him off.
"Fucking stay away from her!" Justin yelled angrily
"I'll do what I want." Josh yelled wiping blood off of his lip.
"Em are you okay?" Jusitn asked bending over to her.
She shook her head violently and started to tremble. Justin scooped up Emily across his arms. She curled up in his arms and leaned her face into his chest crying. Justin walked out and sat down on a bench a few blocks away. She had stopped crying and trembling.
"Em?" he whispered soflty into her ear
"Did he hurt you?" he asked looking into her eyes.
"He didn't get to." She said looking back at him.
"Im so sorry." he whispered
"Justin, he would have....he wouldn't have would he?" She asked fearfully.
"I would never let that happen?" he said
"Promise." She said as a tear slipped down her cheek
"I promise." He said wiping it away and leaning down placing his lipss upon hers. her hands brushed against his cheeks as his ran through her hair.
"Emily, I don't want to pretent we're together. I want to be with you." Justin breahted against her ear.
"I don't want to pretend either." She whispered back to him.
