Justin rolled out of bed again. This time he was late for school, He walked angrily into through the halls. he had missed Jermaine's truck by two minutes this morning. Now he was sure to have detention. he opened the classroom door and waited to be scolded. Instead it was a sub teaching and she let him off easy. he slid into a chair behidn Emily.
"You're late this morning." She smiled
"Yeah woke up late." He smiled back
"Are you still coming after school?" She asked
"Yep of course." he smiled
"It's a Friday are you sure?" She asked again
"I'm sure Emily. Besides we are going out and we are supposed to go out together." Justin whispered
"Oh right." She said with a smile
"So what are you two lovebirds doing tonight?" Chris asked leaning over.
"Dunno yet. I was just asking Emily if she wanted to go to the movies." Justin said looking over at Emily with wide eyes.
"Oh I dunno Justy, is there anything good out?" She asked smiling
"You two can always meet up with the group that's going to the burger joint." Chris winked
"Alright sounds good." Jusitn said winking back at Chris.
Chris walked back over to his seat. Justin turned to Emily
"I can't go out tonight." She whispered in a panick stricken hight strung voice.
"Justy?" He asked raising his eyebrow at her.
"Oh it sounded like something you're girlfriend would call you." She said annoyed with him.
"Yeah right." He said rolling his eyes.
"I still can't go out." She said
"Don't worry I'll figure something out." He smiled
"Oh yeah what?" She said looking at him through narrowed eyes.
"Don't worry. I'll come over after school cuz today I don't have practice and we'll talk." He smiled
"Right." She said rolling her eyes at him.
"Dont do that." he scoffed at her.
"Do what?" She asked
"Roll your eyes at me. I hate when girls do that."
"Oh do this." She said doing it again.
"Don't do tha!" he cried
"What?" She said doing it again
"I swear Em!" he cried
"Em?" She said raising her eyebrow at him.
"Hey we got loud there so I had to call you somethign your boyfriend would call you." He smiled
"Okay fair enough." she laughed
The bell rang and they dispersed to their usual schedules. Justin strolled into the lunchroom. He picked up his tray from the table. The guys always get him lunch. No one knows why but they do it anyway.
"I'm gonna sit with Emily." Justin said walking past them with the tray.
"oooh our Qb is getting whipped!" Chris laughed
Joey impersonated the soudn of a whip lashing out.
"Shut up!" he said walking away. He slid next to Emily who was staring down into a book
"What's that?" he asked sliding it away from her and looking at it.
"It's calculus." She replied taking it back
"Looks hard." He said
"Much too complicated for you." She said and then closed her eyes shut waiting for him to get angry.
"yeah you're probably right, I'm not good in math." he said leaning back in his chair.
"You're not angry with me?" She asked him in shock.
"No why would I be?" he asked giving his head a quick shake
"I thought because you'd think I was calling you stupid or something." She said stuttering
"No if you wanted to call me stupid you would have just said you're stupid Jusitn and you wouldn't understand this book." He smiled
"I don't get you." She said shaking her head
"Get what? What's there to get?" he asked taking a bite out of his sandwich.
"That you didn't jump down my throat for what I said. I always though that."
"That jocks are hot tempered. beat their girlfriends and are slobs." He said belching.
"Well you got one out of two right. I don't have a bad temper. I don't hit girls because I don't believe in that. I'm a slob though." he laughed
"yes that I can smell." She said waving her hand in the air to get rid of the burp smell.
"Sorry about that. Soda makes me belch." He smiled
"That's okay." She smiled
"Aren't you going to eat?" He asked
She looked down at her book embarrassed.
"What's wrong?" he asked leaning down to her face.
"I can't eat in front of people." She whispered
"Oh for heaven sakes!" he cried out
"I'm sorry." She whispered
"Emily eat! I'm not gonna watch you besides it's not like I'm gonna call you a slob or anything." he laughed
"Alright." She said pulling out her lunch and timidly taking her sandwich out.
"If it helps I'll look at my chemisty book. Lord knows I need the extra studying." he said puling it out from his bag. He looked down into his book as Emily bit into her sandwich. He looked up and smiled watching her jaw move as she chewed.
"See not so bad. I watched you eat and now you can finish." He laughed
"Justin!" she cried
The bell rang and they quickly pulled their books into their bags.
"I'll see you after school in the front. i'll walk you to your house." He smiled
"Alright." She replied with a shy smile.
Justin noticed teh guys waiting for him at teh doorway. he leaned over and kissed her cheesk getnly. She blushed immensely and watched him walk away to join his buddies.
