SO YA WANNA CUT YER TOP OFF, EH?

A top view of the truck with no top.  Its hard to see but above the windshield on whats left of the top is where I mounted the track for the bikini top.  This was very simple since they come very long and can be cut to fit anything...

Here is a shot of the cuts I made on the cab.  I used a sawzall, cut off saw, skill saw and grinder to do all of this.  I cut the cab flush with the top of the bed and put the old door trim stuff over the top of the rough cuts, looks nice and keeps me from getting scratched, hahaha.

Here is the "dead top".  I think with some work I can reuse it this winter if I need to.  I did get a little outta hand with some of the cuts that may make it difficult to reuse but I think I can work with it.

This is just a really cool mod for anyone that wants to run doorless!  I drilled out the old door pins to 3/8 (if I remember right) and bought these small hitch pins.  They slide right in there and stay put just like the originals.  There is no extra play in the door or anything like you would imagine, just like stock!  Now all I have to do to be doorless in pull out the two pins and in less than minutes I am ready to hit the trail!

The whole shebang in action!  I am very happy with being topless and do not regret it for a second, actually, when it rains its completely dry in the truck!!!!!  Happy trails....  UPDATE, DECIDED TO BUILD HALFDOORS TOO AND TIE MY TWO CAGES TOGETHER!!!!!!!
