Welcome to STMC
(Shin Tokorozawa Mandolin Club)
since 1975
07 Jan 2006
Hello, folks!
Welcome to the SMTC home page.

STMC is an amateur mandolin orchestra in Tokorozawa City, Saitama, Japan.
Tokorozawa is one of the major outskirt suburbs of Tokio.

About 30 years ago, a few volunteers then lived in Tokorozawa got together and established a tiny ensemble which is now STMC.  In early days, only a few people of the "ensemble" gathered to practice music every Saturday evening.

STMC first had an annual regular concert in 1980 and will have the 25th anniversary concert in March 2006. During the last 30 years, the ensemble has grown to almost an orchestra.  Current composition is of approx. 40 members.

Seeing is believing.  Fan pics are on the gallery.  Please have a look!
You must have a very nice day today, then!
