how to do the pool whatsit

Another hypnotic marvel from David Griffiths, fun and easy to do - 3 class files to upload for this one. Grab an
image you want to use (underwater scenes work great)
and lets do it!

David Griffiths home on the web

Got your image? (not too big - takes too long too load)
Write down the height & width somewhere - you'll need
it later)    This one is width=278 X height=187

William Ricketts Sanctuary, Melbourne, Australia

You'll need to download the following files and upload
them to your server. Make sure they are in the same
directory as the image and your html page.

1 : DOWNLOAD THE POOL MENU CLASS FILE HERE
2 : DOWNLOAD THE POOL CLASS FILE HERE
3 :
DOWNLOAD THE IMAGE MAP CLASS FILE HERE

There are lots of great things you can do with a pool applet, including creating a graphical menu and image map - which is why you need all three class files - might as well have all the possible ingredients before you start to cook, right?

Next : Cut and paste the following code, into the <body> of your document, REPLACING THE AREAS IN RED with your own details.

<div align="center">
<table border="3">
<tr>
<td>
<applet code="PoolMenu" width="WIDTH OF YOUR IMAGE" height="HEIGHT OF YOUR IMAGE">
<param name="image" value="NAME OF YOUR IMAGE.JPG">
<param name="href" value="URL YOU WANT TO LINK THE IMAGE TO.html">
</applet>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>

And... Voila! a pool in your own backyard!

Run your mouse across the surface to see the effect :)
The table border in this one is set at "2" but you can set it it to
any width you choose. Zero is not recommended for Pools -
they look much better enclosed.

DID YOU MASTER THE LAKE APPLET ?
