I don’t know why the Bush regime does not just come out with it and tell the
world via a national TV announcement: “That’s correct; we are THE imperialist,
aggressive power out to dominate other nations and steal their resources. What do you intend to do about it. We are top dog on campus since the
SU’s demise, and don’t you forget it.” Why continue denying that which
is obvious to all but the most indoctrinated. The US is not trying
to be the world’s cop as many contend, because a policeman has the aura of
legitimacy. The US is trying to become the world’s dictator with members
of the UN falling in line like so many marionettes. With respect to
Iraq some are jumping on the bandwagon to war primarily because they figure
the US won’t be deterred no matter what the evidence shows so they might
as well get a part of the take. It is a variation on the Mafia strategy
of joining Family X when you know it is about to destroy Family Y and seize
its wealth. In prior decades the US attempted to make some kind
of case to the effect that they had been attacked or were coming to the aid
of a friend who had been attacked. But after 1991 they made a qualitative
leap in thought and policy. Now they have decided they will tell the
nations of the world what weapons they can and can not have and what nations
they demand to inspect. Their friends can have Weapon A or B while a potential
opponent or an insufficiently subservient government can only have Weapon
C or none at all. If that is not a prescription for war, what is.
In effect, it would turn all nations into American colonies and protectorates,
since national sovereignty would no longer exist to any meaningful degree.
And all of this is done under the proviso that absolutely nothing of the
US will be inspected by any nation. [Please note the brief response
I suggested North Korea give to this totally lop-sided demand which can be
found at: http://www.ameritech.net/users/klomckin/KoreanUSInspections.html#KOREAN. No matter what label American spin-doctors may try to apply to this bellicose,
aggressive posture the bottom line will always be the same. We are the
world’s new dictator and you had better fall in line with our whims and desires.
American
government mouthpieces contend they have proof that Iraq is harboring weapons
of mass destruction. Yet, when nation after nation keeps asking for
proof, none is provided. It is put up or shut up time for the Bush
gang and they know it. That is why they are putting so much pressure
on the UN inspectors to find something, just anything that can be made to
look even plausible. Either produce the evidence or bring the troops
home, George. Bush says he is “sick and tired of Iraq evading and hiding,”
when I am sick and tired of Bush lying. He talks about the case against
Iraq when there is no case against Iraq. So why continue talking about
something that does not exist. The imperialists have had spies running
all over that hounded nation for quite a while and all they have succeeded
in doing is proving the Bushites are liars. And to add absurdity to
hypocrisy, the warhawk Secretary of Offense, Rumsfeld, said yesterday on
national television that Iraq is obligated to prove they do not have weapons
of mass destruction. Let me repeat that critical comment for those
who may have blinked, because it goes to the core of the imperialist case
to the world. IRAQ IS OBLIGATED TO PROVE THEY DO NOT HAVE WEAPONS OF
MASS DESTRUCTION. Where on earth did he receive his degree in logic
or law! Anyone with a modicum of scientific, rational thought knows
the burden of proof lies on he who alleges. Iraq is not required to
prove anything. The imperialists are the ones making the charge; so
they are the ones obligated to provide the proof. In every court of
law worthy of the name the defendant is considered innocent until proven
guilty, not guilty until he proves himself innocent. According to Rumsfeld’s
“logic,” Iraq is guilty until they prove themselves innocent, which is preposterous.
How would you prove a negative? How does Iraq prove it does not have
something it just stated it does not have? It has opened up the entire
nation to scrutiny with inspectors running all over the landscape like so
many lemmings. What more do the imperialists want? That is easy
to answer. They are chewing at the bit to have a war. They want
war; they desire war; they crave war because they think they can win it with
ease while suffering few casualties and being able to test their new weapons
on live people and targets. Hitler was consumed by the same mentality
during the Spanish Civil War in which beleaguered Spain was used as a military
proving ground for fascist weaponry. Remember the bombing of Guernica
and the testing of new German aircraft and munitions.
Imperialist
agents have even gone so far as to contend that Saddam Hussein is a modern
Hitler who must be stopped when anyone who knows the history of the 1930’s
knows that it is Bush who is mimicking the Hitlerian path of making demand
after demand, not Saddam. Those benighted souls making such vacuous
allegations have their roles reversed. [Please note my short article
on this topic which can be found on my website at: http://www.ameritech.net/users/klomckin/BushHitlerHussein.html#BUSH
In
closing, let me say this. I don’t like Saddam Hussein. I did
not like him then and I don’t like him now, primarily because of what he
did to the Left. But you know something, I have grown to detest George
Bush and his henchmen far more.
