ELECTION CHANGES NEEDED

The stolen election of 2004 has clearly shown me that two changes are absolutely mandatory if all future elections are to be anything other than a farce, fascist guts in a democratic shell.
First, all officials connected to the voting process must have no interest in swaying the outcome, meaning they must be neutral.  It must be run like a state lottery in which those in charge are not allowed to place bets or have any vested interest in the outcome.
Second, ALL voting machines must be trashed.  All voting must be done by paper ballot since machines, especially those with computers, can be rigged to do everything but cook breakfast with or without a paper trail.  Under the new arrangement there would automatically be a paper trail for recounts and voting lines would vanish since everyone would,
in effect, be handed his or her own private voting machine as he or she walked in the door.  Fifty to 60 people could easily be voting simultaneously.  If I don't see these two changes next time I will simply yell to those voting:  You are wasting your time my friends.  The "fix is in" as we just witnessed in Nov. 2004.
Now I understand why every time I see a foreign election taking place, especially in Europe, people are always stuffing paper ballots into boxes.  And here I thought they were behind times, when, in fact, it is the United States that has drastically regressed and opened the electoral process to fraud and felonies.  Now I also fully understand how a Ku Klux Klan clone like Trent Lott can be elected to the Senate from heavily black Mississippi.  Jim Crow is alive and well and being practiced on both blacks and whites.
I can think of other changes that are needed as well, such as abolishing the Electoral College, same day registration, all ex-felons can vote, voting done only on Saturdays or Sundays to eliminate conflicts with employers, and having redistricting done by the courts or other neutral bodies every ten years following the census, but the two above are immediately mandatory.  Anything less is too absurd to discuss. 1
