Pop Tarts With Rock Hearts     Geek Cleek     Get your site reviewed. Now.

28th June 2002: Must mention music somehow. Buy Resist, by Kosheen. You won't regret it. Oh, and in *more coughs* unrelated news I re-joined the Pop Tarts clique :)

I added Tempest last week because I couldn't find Mr Do! or Frogger. Later that day I found JavaMiner, which may as well be Mr Do!'s lost twin brother. I'll upload it when I can find somewhere that isn't as shit as.. err.. when I can find somewhere that'll let me upload .lvl files.

Starlet has a new layout up. Go have a look & be mesmerised by the swiggly link button things...

18th June 2002: Added Tempest. Playing Tempest. Should be working, dammit. Heh, I'm so much into playing it I can't be bothered to sort out the background, alignment, etc. Yet.

13th June 2002: Imagine you’ve gone to the beach. Nowhere far, the most local & common place you have. You have a look around this beach & you see people've built sandcastles. Some perfect, some great & some for a laugh. You decide to make a sandcastle. You have a look around, just to make sure you aren’t going to copy anyone elses design, then get going. You start off just with a normal bucket. Sandcastle v.1. Then you start getting clever ideas. Not anything that anyone else would never be able to come up with, so once again check around to make sure you aren’t copying anyone. Lots of cute little ideas later you have a castle you are pretty proud of. Not because it’s better than any of the others – after all, it’s a little messy, you haven’t done this for a while or even at all - but because it’s something YOU did. It was YOUR effort. You stand back & take a look, then wander off for no real reason. Eventually you come across a castle that looks EXACTLY like your castle. It isn't EXACTLY like your castle. It’s better. And there are a couple more, built by the same person that look just like his original, but slightly different. You know immediately that he DIDN’T copy you, just that you didn’t look round enough. In reality it looks very much like he started before you, and so if anyone was copying anyone, it was you with him. My castle is in the download section. The other persons castle (don’t know if he’s Dr M or Kyo) is here.
Yes, I’m talking about Sonic.

Matters of the heart. Make you want to scream sometimes, no? But seeing as I’ve got a no complaining rule set onto me (I really should’ve set a time limit on that) I think I’ll just go for a cry instead.

These sites are a daily source of pleasure to me at the moment (and why not forever?):
Sway, Glitter Critter and Moondreams. I’m almost at the top of the table at Marty’s World Cup Thingy and that’s about all I have time for. No word on any more games. And I’m too good a person to shove them in a frame at this place & claim it as my own. And you’ve probably played them already. Instead, if you’re interested in the games, tell me what you’d like & I’ll see if I can find it..

Oh yeah, check this out. Shame they (and I, maybe?) spelt psyco.. pslychlo.. dammit.. That word wrong..

14th May 2002: Spelling errors, and:
I must remember the right date
I must remember the right date
I must remember the right date
I must remember th..
*bell rings*
etc

13th May 2002: So much I had to say, 90% forgotten. Still, I might have done you a favour there.

Noz, clearly I'm not dead, but you would already have guessed that by now. Can't think what would've given that closely guarded secret away..

There's a new (old) forum in town, & someone didn't think there was enough room in town for the both of them. I'd started selling tickets to the shootout, when there was an announcement that one was giving up. So bye Glitter Critter forum. I still think they both would have been able to survive together though..

No games yet, but I'm 27.8% hopeful that I'll be getting news on some more. Depends on how some people view this site. Drop that to 8.3% hopeful..

Things added to link page - A godly person and a person that damn well better take care of herself. Updated 2 links: This one & this one.

No time to do anything with Sonic. I'm too busy crippling my life.

Anyone looking for Emux - there was an explaination somewhere on the past pages.. Do me a favour, if you ever find anywhere like Emux again, please let me know. Ta..

7th May 2002: A simple life. What the hell is wrong with someone having one of those? Really?

Changing the subject, before the subject was even looked at, where have I seen this before?

No more games yet. But I will be looking at doing some extra things to Sonic later today although not fixing the stupid bugs - the work files are lying round here somewhere if you want to have a go :P

29th April 2002: Finally did something almost productive with the PC at home - I've gotten Sonic to a point where I can actually upload him because he works! Download Sonic for MUGEN here. He's buggy as hell I know, he still has that problem where sometimes if he gets knocked over he can't get back up, & some of hits hits send the opponent flying in an unrealistic manner. I'll work on all that later.
Just had a look at the Elecbyte site, & need to say that as far as I know, this version will work with the latest Windows version of MUGEN released, I have no idea about the Linux versions, sorry..

Haven't had a chance to look at the results for the test yet, but I'm hoping more than one very nice person has attempted the quiz. Hoping lots.

Got rid of 2001 from the bottom of the page, & the crazy bastard green disolving menu from the top (at last) - It will probably still be hovering around on other pages, but I'll get round to those soon (never).
Would have added some games too, but I couldn't find any decent ones.. Maybe next time.

25th April 2002: My colleagues think I'm weird. Not because I actually am weird, but because whenever I go to enter an image into a powerpoint thingy, the first image preview that comes up before I touch anything is my adopted glitter critter fairy, Audrey Star. That's what I get for not moving/removing files once I've uploaded them I guess, but at least I'm showing everyone I'm taking good care of it..

22nd April 2002: I just noticed a staff sugestion box the other day. I think I might suggest that for the morale of all staff working here, The Director must make a weekly visit to each office & sing a song, a song that was voted most popular of the week in that office. I would fight to get into work for that. Anyone see any problem with it?

I've wondered why my bookmark list is absolutely massive, and I don't visit half the sites on there & why I don't add excellent sites like Penny Arcade, and instead force my self to type the url each time I want to see. I've since stopped wondering, as I like to keep myself enigmatic.

Ok, I'm not sure how this is gonna work.. I *cough* borrowed some (all) quiz questions from somewhere, & put them up on Alxnet. Split into 4 parts for no real reason other than that I couldn't (wasn't enthusiastic enough to) find somewhere that would host a 40 question quiz. It won't revolutionise anything, I just thought I'd do something different for a change. Except I'm always nicking stuff from elsewhere for this site, so it's not that much of a change or difference, it it? Never mind..

Part 1 of 4
Part 2 of 4
Part 3 of 4
Part 4 of 4

There might be a results page soon.. It'll either be here or on a forum on Glitter Critter..

Update dedicated to wonderchick Angela, who told me I'm not getting linked because I haven't updated in ages.

28th February 2002: Sometimes I make mistakes that are so bad, I want to laugh crazily like the madman I am. And updating three times on one day compared to three times in one year? Must be a full moon or something.
Forgot an underscore in each and every one of the links on the links page *HAHAHAHAAAAA*.. I want to go home... Oh yes, while I'm here, go to Can't Get Enough Futurama and sign a petition or something. Keep it alive, man.

28th February 2002: Twice in one day, my, you are unfortuneate..

What Flavour Are You? Cor blimey, I taste like Tea.Cor blimey, I taste like Tea.

I am a subtle flavour, quiet and polite, gentle, almost ambient. My presence in crowds will often go unnoticed. Best not to spill me on your clothes though, I can leave a nasty stain. What Flavour Are You?

28th February 2002: Forgot to say yesterday - Starlet accidentally killed SMW.com, just as I realised that Sway My Way rhymes with K-Y-A. I think she's gettin another domain, but when & what I'm not sure..

27th February 2002: Mame.DK stopping roms downloads: As far as I know, there is no sinister reason other than the one posted on their site, and what was posted on Retrogames:
"The roms of [mame.dk] was removed 3 days ago [mame.dk] has received a notice from a copyright holder forcing us to shut down our service."
I don't know who the copyright holder is/was, & I'm not gonna get into it.. You could try browsing the General Emulation Boards at Retrogames.. I dunno, I give up with the detective lark before I even start..

18th February 2002: Almost a month has gone.. Suppose I'd better write something here. Starlet has yet another new layout, Carrie is getting rid of her blog, the Sway Forum died & a Glitter Critter one was born.
I've told someone I would think about give up smoking with them. I don't want to. I thought about how much money I'd save. Still hasn't convinced me. I thought about my health. Almost convinced me. I think I'll settle for somewhere in the middle, with me cutting down. And with the amount that I smoke at the moment, that might as well mean I'm giving up. Maybe that's the best way to do it.. Give up without telling yourself you're giving up, somehow giving yourself a possible slight pshycological advantage. Yes. Or, no.

Places I've Seen, People I've Been (or whatever the right one is):
RavenBlog, a blog written by a bloke that does this a lot. Also, I believe he's the author of the videogame quiz below.
A while ago I gave a link to Mil Millingtons Apology Homepage. What I forgot to do was to give a mention to the fantastic Things page.
The author the the Seaman Diary - Rev Owen Alloway - had or has I site I'm sure.. Until I can remember (better get comfortable) where it was or find it again I'm just gonna post a link to his Dead Journal.
And now it's time for my brain to go back into hibernation. G'bye.

24th January 2002: Well, I've been deleted from the Sway Forum. I'm not sure what to do with my life now.. I suppose I could do something like, like... Umm.. Dammit.

Apparently:

What Video Game Character Are You? I am a Pacman Ghost.

I am a Pacman Ghost.

I like to hang around with friends, chatting, dancing, all that sort of thing. We don't appreciate outsiders, and do our best to discourage others approaching us. I enjoy occasionally wandering around randomly, and often find that when I do so, I get to where I wanted to be.

Scarily, that sums me up pretty well.

Oh yes, I just found out that Wireplay is back. I am now filled with excitement. Honest :)

21st January 2002: You have to worry about my sanity when I adopt a Glitter Critter Fairy (look around here for one):

Your chosen fairy's name is Audrey Star.
The most elegant of the GlitterCritter fairies, Audrey is quiet, classy and always glamorous. Kind hearted and gentle, she likes to help other fairies less fortunate than herself but will be dancing beneath the stars by night, mesmerising all who see her, with her engimatic and mysterious aura.

Go get one. You know you want to ;)
Starlet has a new layout. I'm sure she just does it to have a mention in every single (almost pointless) update I make.

I'm gonna have a day or so off work soon so I can spend some proper time working on the Sonic character. And decide if Kixity is worth doing.

8th January 2002: I've been surprised lots lately, with both good and bad surprises. I don't want to bore or depress you with the bad ones, so I'll just point out the good ones. Come to think of it, you'd also be bored with the surprises themselves so I'll just point out the good people:
Carrie really suprised me, Starlet mildly suprised me, Justin plain old surprised me, Angela and Meelah clean out of the blue surprised me.
If I spelt surprised wrong, tough.
So, with things the way they are I won't exactly be rushing to work on Kixity, and instead Kixity.TK is still gonna point here for a while. Sorry about that.

4th January 2002: Happy New Year Everyone :) Got rid of that marquee thingy up there because of a few problems that redirects were causing that I couldn't be bothered to work out. Thanks to Dot TK I now have a sorta domain name, it's only a redirect one but it was the sort of thing I was after. But I don't think I'll keep it directed at this site for long. I did start making a new place, but I realised that the layout was looking supiciously similar to Emutimes so I gave up. I might try again but keep the wallpaper. It looked pretty nice :) Watch this space. Or not, as it could take a while. I wish I had more spare time :/

Starlet yet again has a new layout (since I last updated she has had two new layouts), Carrie's site has gone down but her blog remains, and I think Justin moved again?
And goodnight.
