(Erik's letter to send to classmates/parents)

I'm a kid who's healthy and happy.
I'm a kid as normal as could be.
I love to rollerblade, ride my bike every day
Nintendo, computer,and cars are others I love to play! 

There is one thing that may be different between me and you,
One difference that's serious but true.
There are different things we like to eat
To some they are yucky, to some they are a treat.
But there is one food that I can't be near
Or I could get really sick I fear.
Peanuts and peanut butter are my enemy...
Because to them I have a serious allergy.

One time I may just get bumps and itch,
One time I could swell up, I won't know which.
I could have trouble breathing and gasp...
And have to go to the hospital FAAAST!

So I hope you'll understand and see,
It's not fun having a Peanut Allergy.
So to keep me healthy and safe as can be,
I need my class to be 'Peanut Free'.
