My Sister Midoriko
It was just another typical day searching for the Shikon Shards.
Inuyasha and Kagome were bickering as usual. Sango was pounding Miroku
as
usual. And Shippo was trying to break them up as usual.
But just then, Kagome was stopped. She was overwhelmed by the power
she
felt. It was ever so near. She was struggling to stay standing. She
eventually fell to the ground.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and rushed to her side.
Except for
Inuyasha of course. He tried to show as less care as he could about her.
Even though everyone, except Kagome, knew he had feelings for her.
"Kagome! Are you alright?" Shippo asked worriedly.
"Y-yes Shippo...I'm f-fine..." she was struggling even to speak.
"You don't sound alright.." Shippo said pouting.
"Really, Kagome what's wrong?" Sango asked.
"Noth-" Kagome began.
But suddenly, Inuyasha dropped to his knees. He was on all fours.
His
hands were balling into fists.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome exclaimed.
"D-don't worry. I'm alright. It's you that isn't." he said.
"What do you mean? Lady Kagome won't be alright?" Miroku asked.
"I sense it...I sense it too..." he trailed off. "If I'm this much
affected...think how much Kagome is. She has a stronger sense of these
things."
"Tell us!" everyone but Kagome said.
"It's...it's a miko. A very powerful one. Stronger than...stronger
than
Kikyo." Kagome said. She hated saying that name..
"Stronger than Kikyo?" Sango exclaimed. She had had a run in with
Kikyo
already.
"Who could be stronger than K-Kikyo?" Shippo asked scared. He
remebered
his first encounter with her.
"There is-was-only ONE stronger than her..." Miroku said
thoughtfully.
"What are you suggesting? That's imposible." Inuyasha said.
"Yes...it can't be..." Sango said.
"What? Who?" Shippo asked. Apperently he didn't remember going to
that
cave.
"Midoriko...the creator of that." Inuyasha said, pointing at the
necklace
around Kagome's neck. "And don't think I fell to the ground 'cause I'm
weak.
It's just that I was surprized that's all..."
"But...how? How can she be here?" Kagome asked ignoring Inuyasha's
last
statement.
"I'll tell you how..." a mysterious voice said. It came from the
bushes.
They gang looked at the source. But when they did, a blinding light
filled
the clearing as a figure stepped out.
