||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
A dark night. A Full moon. A handsome young man with long white hair, golden eyes, armor, markings on his face, and a fluffy white... um... thing on his right shoulder. A staff bearing two heads, one male, one female, levitates to a stone structure. Perhaps a tomb. A small frog-like creature runs up to it, saying that they've found the tomb they were searching for. Now the young man walks up, and he finally speaks in a cold, emotionless sort of way, asking if the frog is sure. The frog-like thing runs towards the tomb, but a pack of wolves come out from behind it. The frog calls over his shoulder that he's certain now. The young man, known only as "Milord" walks calmly towards the pack, and ends up surrounded by them, and yet is still calm. Unlike the frog. They continue to growl at him, and he finally looks at them. He says that he's searching for "the fang" to increase his power. He raises his hand, which begins to glow. The wolves attack him, and a stream of light emits from his hand, almost like a whip, and he begins to spin around quickly, slicing and killing the wolves. Now the wolves lay on the ground, and the man with the crescent moon on his forehead tells "Jaken" (the frog) to "position the staff". Jaken runs over to the tomb and jumps on top of it, kicking off the small wooden structure on top of it, and dusting it off. When he sets the staff down, the woman screams, and he says that that they were misled. The man walks off, and Jaken yells for him to wait for his humble servant. He jumps from the tomb and races after him. We see three wolves running away, and a VERY small... something in the fur of one of the wolves, says that he didn't know who the person was, but that "Lord Inuyasha will want to know." LORD Inuyasha?? What'd we miss, right? We next see a camp of soldiers, discussing the battle the next day and getting ready to eat. They are disturbed by men's yells and dying screams. The general runs to see what's wrong, only to find... the white-haired young man from before. He tells the general he needs a boat, and the general merely laughs, saying, "Before a battle?! And we're to give it, are we?!" "Yes you are. And now." The general stops laughing at this, and attacks him, saying, "I think not!" But... this young man is VERY fast. He runs towards him, almost seeming to disappear from one place to reappear at another. He catches the general by his neck and snaps it instantly. As he's holding him up, we see the man's face in shadow, everything dark except for his glowing red eyes. The soldiers stare on in horror as the man throws the general's body into the water. The man get into a defensive stance, preparing to attack, only to be interrupted by Jaken's voice, calling out to the young man, whom he calls "Lord Sesshomaru". He says he couldn't find any boats, then notices the army's boats. ALL of them. When they see Jaken, they finally get the hint that Sesshomaru (or as I spell it, Sesshoumaru) isn't human. They yell to kill the two "beasts", at which point Sesshoumaru simply tells Jaken to handle it, and walks off. Jaken holds up what he calls the "Staff of The Skulls" (or Staff of Heads), and the male head spits fire from his mouth at the attacking humans. Jaken begins to run after Sesshoumaru, but the staff stops him, going in another direction. Jaken says that this means the fang has changed position. Later, Jaken and Sesshoumaru are sitting in the boat they acquired, Jaken rowing, of course. He hesitantly asked Sesshoumaru if they should ask "Lord Inuyasha" where the tomb is. At this, Sesshoumaru merely says "Inuyasha", then back hands Jaken into the river, holding him down with one hand on the staff of heads, still sitting calmly. Sesshoumaru says that he prefers not to think about Inuyasha, and that to them, he is dead, and that he was sealed to a tree 50 years ago. Jaken informs him the spell had recently been removed, and that the staff had been acting strange, and that he was sure it was because of Inuyasha. "Speaking of the staff, milord, mightn't you remove it? I can't breathe..." (passes out) The next day. Kagome is coming out of the well, pushing a bike in front of her. She rides the bike towards Kaede's village, accidentally running over the tiny creature that was looking for Inuyasha. She tries to convince Inuyasha, who's laying in a tree, to let her bandage his wounds up. He refuses, until she ends up saying "Sit", at which point he falls face-first to the ground, and she runs over with her first aid kit, in order to help him heal. Kaede is walking around with the village children, talking to them about the search for the jewel, and mentions that she wished Inuyasha and Kagome would learn to like each other. The girl in the lead says that they do like each other, and points over to them. Kaede and the children look at them, only to see... Inuyasha sprawled out on the ground, Kagome sitting on his lower stomach, trying to take off his kimono so she can tend to the wounds, straddling him. "I said take it off!" "What if I don't feel like it?!" "Undress!" Kaede ends up trying to block the kids' view, and send them away, telling Kagome and Inuyasha that perhaps they like each other more than she thought. When the two figure out what she means, and realizes their position, Inuyasha stands up, letting Kagome fall to the ground. He pulls down his kimono (Beats away all the drooling Inu fan girls) and shows off his shoulder and chest, completely healed. As he's fixing his kimono back, he looks down to see the little thing from before, sitting on his chest, drinking his... Blood?! Inuyasha slaps him, and looks at the creature in his hand. "Well, if it ain't Myouga the flea!" Myouga floats to the ground and pops back to normal. Inuyasha kneels and asks him what he came for, but when Myouga tries to talk to him, Kagome comes up with a can of bug spray, and sprays poor Myouga! Now HERE'S where it gets interesting. Sunset in the village, and you hear Inuyasha talking to Myouga. "What do you mean someone's trying to find my dad's tomb?" Myouga explains that it's the remains of his father that are important, but that no one knows where they are. Kaede talks about Inuyasha's dad to him, saying that he was "a phantom beast, and that the western lands were his domain". We see a huge dog-demon flying off from a village. Myouga says that Inuyasha's father was a demon among demons, and when Kagome asks about Inuyasha's mother, Myouga begins to talk about her, calling her a beauty beyond compare. But before he can get too far, Inuyasha grinds his heel into Myouga, then walks off without looking back, saying, "Just drop it, okay? She died a long time ago." Kagome asks what she did wrong, and Myouga tells her that Inuyasha prefers not to speak of his mother. She stands and finds Inuyasha, thinking about why he might not want to talk about his mom. Then she makes the connection. "His dad was all-demon, but he's half-demon. If half is one thing, the other half is... human? That's why!" She thinks he hates his mother for being human, and thinks about her own mother. She says it's awful that he hates his mom, and that she bets the mother really loved him. The wind picks up, and Kagome is knocked to the ground by Inuyasha when he leaps from his tree. He says something's coming, and they look up to see a carriage in the sky. The back flap lifts enough for them to see a woman riding in the back of it. Inuyasha surprises Kagome when he walks towards it, calling the woman "Mother". She's chained up, and she cries for Inuyasha, who watches as a huge demon appears and grabs the carriage, crushing it. He holds the woman in his hand, now, and Kagome tells Inuyasha that the demon's gonna hurt his mother. Inuyasha attacks, but is blocked by a stream of fire coming at him. There, on the demon's arm, is Jaken. Sesshoumaru, standing on the demon's shoulder, tells Jaken that afterwards, he wants Inuyasha dead. Another freaky part! "It is you... Sesshoumaru!" "Indeed, I have quite missed you as well... little brother." (told ya it was freaky!) Sesshoumaru notices Kagome when she asks Inuyasha about the "little brother" comment. The chain on Inuyasha's mother goes to her throat, lifting her head back, and Sesshoumaru taunts Inuyasha by saying that a mortal girl suits Inuyasha, and that must have been a taste he acquired from their father. Sesshoumaru asks Inuyasha where their father's tomb is, but Inuyasha says he doesn't know, and that even if he did, he wouldn't tell Sesshoumaru. In return, Sesshoumaru makes the demon torture Inuyasha's mother, but Inuyasha says that he isn't stupid enough to fall for it, since his mother died a long time ago. But Jaken tells him he IS stupid, and that Sesshoumaru can EASILY bring spirits back from the dead. Now Inuyasha's mother calls for him again, holding out her hand, saying that she really has come back. Inuyasha believes them finally, and cuts off the demon's hand. Kagome runs over to the fallen woman, checking to see if she's okay. Inuyasha tells them to run, but Sesshoumaru enrages the large demon, causing it to attack the two humans, although when Inuyasha blocks the attack, getting hurt because of it, his mother holds out a glowing white sphere, which grows and they disappear into it. When Sesshoumaru looks at where they used to be, he complains of it being a bother, saying that Jaken's scheme is beneath him, and that if it fails, Jaken would die. Jaken accepts it. Inuyasha wakes up in a beautiful fantasy place, Kagome laying unconscious near him, and his mother standing close by. She says it is the border to the spirit world, and that she's going to be crossing over soon. She walks away slowly, and with a last glance at Kagome, Inuyasha follows her. They begin to talk about how Inuyasha's changed and grown. Kagome's already woken up, only to find that she can't move. She looks into the lake, and sees that Inuyasha's mother has no facial reflection. She realizes it's not Inuyasha's mother, but is unable to call out to him. |
