Kagome thinks about everything that's happened so far, and how Kaede said that Kagome and Inuyasha now have to work together to find all the pieces of the Sacred Jewel. Her thoughts? "Inuyasha, help? HAH!"
She climbs out of the water, only to see our favorite Hanyou staring at her. After a "Sit boy!", she runs to get dressed in the only clothes available to her while hers are drying. Priestess clothing. Kikyo's clothing.
At the sight of Kagome in the same kind of clothes as the woman who pinned him to a tree, he becomes upset, inching away from a glaring Kagome and a curious Kaede.
Now we meet Yura. Sort of. We see a barely-dressed woman in a place FULL of skulls, combing out the hair of one, laughing about getting the sacred jewel.
Kaede gets called back to the village to help a young girl, leaving Inuyasha and Kagome alone. Inuyasha tells Kagome to "Get undressed", resulting in a bump on the head by Kagome with a small boulder. Ouch.
"You pervert." "I didn't say get naked, stupid! I just can't stand seeing you in those clothes!" "Because I look like Kikyo?!" "It's got nothin' to do with it."
After Inuyasha tells Kagome he doesn't need her, she decides she's going home. Inuyasha tries to stop her, saying he wants the jewel shard. Another "sit boy" later, she heads home, leaving a fuming Inuyasha behind.
Kaede is in the village, only to find out that the unconscious girl is being controlled by hair now, which causes her to attack the old priestess.
Kagome arrives at the well, intending to go home, but a glance at the bones in the bottom of it dissuades her. While sitting by the well, Kagome sees a leaf get split in two, and realizes there's HAIR everywhere!
Yura, who introduces herself to Kagome, is surprised to learn she can see the hairs.
Inuyasha's sulking, heading back to the village while telling himself he's better off without her. But when he gets to the village, all the women (controlled by hair and unconscious) begin to attack him. He wants to fight back, but Kaede arrives, telling him not to.
Back at the well, Kagome is facing off with Yura of the Hair, who hits her a few times with stinging whip-like lashes of hair, and steals the jewel shard. When Kagome says she doesn't know where the rest of it is, Yura decides she's expendable, and attacks her, knocking her backwards, into the well. Sending Kagome home.
Yura's trying to figure out where Kagome went, while Inuyasha is arguing with Kaede about attacking the women. Kaede tells him about the hair controlling them, but he can't see the hair.
Now Yura's interested. She's still controlling everything, and traps Inuyasha with the strands of hair. (It's demon hair, by the way, so pretty dang strong.)
She tries to kill Inuyasha by pinning him to a tree, and trying to slice off his head, but he manages to escape. Yura's not happy.
Now the men attack, and Inuyasha decides he's sick of the same attack. Kaede is slowly losing consciousness, so Inuyasha lifts her on his back and carries her away from the village.
Yura, who has found a strand of Inuyasha's silver hair, decides that she wants that hair. (of course, to get it, he'll have to be dead...)
Inuyasha flies off, breaking through the strands which would kill a human, only intriguing Yura even more. "He's stubborn, but he's also FUN! And I MUST have this pretty silver hair of his!"
Inuyasha asks Kaede about the hair, and if she can tell him where it's coming from. She says she can't in her condition, and that he needs Kagome's help. He's kinda doubtful at first, but Kaede tells him he needs her, or else they have no hope. She then passes out.
Kagome wakes up in the well in her own time, only to look up at the sound of her grandpa and Souta's voices. They shine a flashlight down at her. When she's out of the well, she's looking around, happy to be home. The two males are asking her about where she's been, and why she's dressed in old clothes, but Kagome only starts to cry, and hugs her grandpa.
Inuyasha digs a hole for Kaede, almost like a grave, and starts to bury her, saying it's the least he could do. She wakes up, telling him she's not dead. He says for her to think of it as a hiding place, and that he'll try to remember where she is.
Then he races toward Kagome's scent, towards the well. With Yura happily following him with the hair.
Kagome's at home, bathing and being blissfully ignorant of what's about to happen.
