| His friends are organizing this memorial gate to honor Kevin and assure his memory lives on. The goal is to have construction completed for an unveiling on the 5-year anniversary of Kevin's passing, September 11, 2006. In an effort to raise funds, a Memorial Walk and a dinner are being organized for September 11, 2005. |

| Kevin Szocik was a three-sport athlete and 1992 graduate of Lunenburg High School who was killed on September 11, 2001. After graduating from LHS in 1992, Kevin continued his education at Fordham University, Bronx, New York on a football scholarship. After graduating from Fordham in May 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Kevin accepted a position with Keefe, Bruyette & Woods as a Research Analyst, and was quickly promoted to a Vice President in the Equity Research Department. He was working at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. |
| Kevin's Gate is the informal name of the Memorial Gate to the Lunenburg High Athletic Fields that will be constructed in memory of Kevin T. Szocik. |
